ElfOnTheShelf, I got the Minecraft Beginners Handbook from The Book People for £3.99. They are currently out of stock now as well but the site says that they are expecting more stock on Dec. 12 (tomorrow!) so you should check back then.

Perfect for my Mum!

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 11/12/2013 22:56

Argh, sorry LucyTheValiant, just checked the site for that book and it's not a history book, sorry. Don't know what I'm on about! There are history books on there though. There's one called 'A Less Boring History of the World' which might be good for a teen. It's £3.99. There's also 'History of the World in Bitesize Chunks' for £3.99 and an Usborne set of 10 books called 'History of Britain Collection' for £14.99.

hallowisitmeyourelookingfor · 11/12/2013 23:05

Oh shit. I am also desperately scrabbling around for the Minecraft beginners handbook. But I'm going to Waterstones tomorrow so hopefully they will have them in stock.

ChestnutsroastingintheFireligh · 12/12/2013 00:04

Try Asda as well for the Minecraft book

Id also like to know about the flavourless boxes and the difference between the Christmas @ December ones.

zipzap · 12/12/2013 00:09

Many thanks for all the minecraft info everyone. Thanks Will eye up ds1's present pile and see how it compares to dc2's and use it as a useful extra if needed or save for another day to bring out if he's got plenty.

chestnut Not sure I like the sound of a flavourless box Grin

Anyone looking for a coffee machine - argos have them with up to 60% off here.

hoppingmad · 12/12/2013 00:39

Thanks some people - should've thought of that. Ended up spending a whole fiver. The dc's will be happy though and that's what counts

hoppingmad · 12/12/2013 00:40

*somepeopleneedhelp not just some people Blush

SquirrelNuts · 12/12/2013 01:42

raisah · 12/12/2013 04:01

Sainsburys & Asda have reduced their trees and decorations.

GardenWorm · 12/12/2013 05:35

There are Bear and Hare books, prints, and 2 sizes of slippers in stock online - I've not been looking at them before so apologies if they have been available all along!

GardenWorm · 12/12/2013 05:42

Mothercare has a 20% off Christmas Spectcular (everything I think)

GardenWorm · 12/12/2013 06:16

...above is on line, they are a bit sneaky and have deleted a load of items so yes there is 20% off everything but it's not all there (hope that makes sense)!!! Probably brings their prices down to the same as Amazon

TheOneWithTheHair · 12/12/2013 07:39

I have a code for 20% off at Matalan that I'm not going to use. It expires 22nd December. I don't know if it's unique but I'm posting on thread as I couldn't cope with having to let people down last time.

Nanny25 · 12/12/2013 08:21

I have won a £2.50 bonus from the Quidco page if you purchase something from Evans Cycles in next 24hours. I won't use it, so guessing that the code can be used by someone else. If anyone wants to try PM me and I will give you code. Thanks

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/12/2013 08:28

Not a bargain, but I am shoving one of these in my last Amazon basket (have just been given a £50 voucher which I will spend on last things for dd)

(that is a total lie as when I return to UK next Thursday I will have a Home Bargains, a B and M, 2 Pound shops and a Poundstretcher within walking distance so will have trolley loads of lovely Christmassy tat)

But anyway, I do think we all need one of these, dd had the ordinary one last year, and it was a bit fab.

SpottyChristmasCakes · 12/12/2013 08:30

I've got dd one of the normal ones for her stocking Smile

Nanny25 · 12/12/2013 08:32

drank they were selling these in Home bargains for only £1 or £2 and had snowman ones too.

SpicedTeaAndXmasCakeOrDeath · 12/12/2013 08:36

DS is toilet training and therefore showing an unhealthy! interest in what happens to food/digestive system etc and other body things - can anyone suggest a good (and hopefully bargainous!) book explaining bodily functions? Not just toileting necessarily but breathing or getting ill/germs etc...

DrankSangriaInThePark · 12/12/2013 08:41

In fact, I have just spotted them cheaper on ebay as well.

I might have to buy a snowman one too.

Spiced- Usborne is your friend I think.....dd had a human body one with pop up bits and flaps to open showing all manner of bodily functions. Try Amazon/ebay.

LinzerTorte · 12/12/2013 09:04

I have a £2.50 Quidco code for Reiss, to be used in the next 24 hours, if anyone's interested - you'll need to have a Quidco account.

MrsLoveChristmas · 12/12/2013 09:34

I got a code yesterday with Quidco and after going through check out with Jessops realised that one of the items (the main blooming one which cost the most) had disappeared from the basket so all I had bought was the filler item for £2 then £3.99 for delivery. Have messaged Quidco twice to see if there is anything I can do but not holding out much hope. Bah, hate losing out on a bargain! Hmm

MrsLoveChristmas · 12/12/2013 09:34

Don't even know if that message made sense. I have bargain rage! Confused
