Reastie how do you do magic fairy dust with a glow stick? (I have hundreds of the fuckers....my kids are obsessed with them and even freezer them when they've finished with them to keep them going )

The ELC/mothercare is on til Monday. Kiddiecare is also doing 20% but not on their 3 for 2 toys. I did get 3 of the duplo story books for £16 from kiddiecare. Not bad as I nearly paid £10 for one earlier on.

Re:box of OMG. I'm getting one too. I've had a couple of the free box of awesome & it's the same thing but OMG is aimed at girls. The last box included a book, stickers, sweet & face paint. It's nothing amazing but might be some stuff you can use for stockings.

So, it turns out that for the first time ever in my life, we have family at our house for Xmas. I need tips on how to buy Xmas food cheaply! I've never bought a turkey before, for example - do I have to buy years in advance because they sell out?! What's the pre- ordering ; is it just a sales ploy or should I have done it?!

If you are going to buy a supermarket turkey you may well be fine but if you are getting one from a butcher you will need to pre order.

Oh gosh, I didn't think of butchers! I don't think I can face going in there, so it's supermarket or let dh deal with it . How far in advance can you buy a fresh one? See, clueless!!
