TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 30/11/2013 19:31

Can anyone help? Dp has mentioned in passing something he wants and I wasn't listening at all maybe wasn't as focussed on what he was saying as I could have been and now don't know exactly what it is - I think its a playstation game where it has really good graphics of what post apocalyptic england would look like, any ideas?!

Littlemousewithcloggson · 30/11/2013 19:38

Does anyone have any free delivery codes for the book people?
Also WTF can I get a 16yr old step nephew who I've never met for £5-10 as just found out he is coming with aunt and step uncle on boxing day. Has every gadget and DVD in the world apparently. What do boys that age like?

SpottyTeacakes · 30/11/2013 19:46

iTunes voucher? I know it doesn't seem exciting but my little brother is 16 and I know he'd much prefer that than a token gift

SquirrelNuts · 30/11/2013 19:50

TeaAndCakeOrDeath I asked DH and he thinks the game might be "Dead Rising 3" hth

AuntieMaggie · 30/11/2013 20:03

OK I am mad. I wondered how I missed the IKEA xmas tree deal last year... they don't do it in Bristol :( I may have to drive to Cardiff

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 30/11/2013 20:06

EssentialCoffee brilliant! Thank your dp from me! And from my dp on xmas day!

TooWetToWoo · 30/11/2013 20:11

TeaAndCake it may possibly be The Last Of Us, it's not a new game though. I found this article which may explain what your DP was on about

siblingrevelry · 30/11/2013 20:20

The snail & the whale is back at £1.75. My boys loved this book, even still listen when reading to younger DSis:

www.amazon.co.uk/The-Snail-Whale-Julia-Donaldson/dp/033398224X/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1385842718&sr=8-3&keywords=tiddler

trikken · 30/11/2013 20:29

Id say dead rising 3 too. Sounds most likely.

bsmirched · 30/11/2013 20:44

Anyone having problems with Boots? Have added 3 x Sanctuary sets listed as £11 something but in my basket it says item price £17 despite saying it's a third off and 3 for 2!
Shouldn't complain as it is doing 3 for 1 but would hate to miss it being even more bargainous!

clared12 · 30/11/2013 20:51

Bargain hunters, any ideas on how to minimise the outlay for 2 new wii controllers?
I'd be v.grateful, they are SO expensive.

TIA

Everyone ready with their advent calendars for tomorrow? We have 4 advent calendars (and 1 DD! - a felt nativity one and 3 chocolate ones for DH, DD and me) and our elf on the shelf with a snowman book and wiggles christmas DVD at the ready for the morning. Going to try and do a jar of magic fairy dust with a glo stick I bought in the £ shop as an extra bit of magic fun can you tell I'm excited . The tree went up this afternoon Grin Grin

zipzap just read my comment back and it sounds incredibly rude Blush . Didn't mean it to be so dismissive of your idea, it came out wrong

TheonlyoneIknow are you near a Lidl? They have Christmas themed cellophane and plain - there was lots in the Lidl that I went to a week (or two?) ago, but someone mentioned they'd tried Lidl and couldn't find any cellophane so it might have sold out?

Theonlyoneiknow · 30/11/2013 20:58

Thanks showgirl, there is one in town I will give it a try!

DS is four on Christmas day so is ready for elf on the shelf this year! I am do excited!!!

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 30/11/2013 21:03

Grah! I need to get a 2DS for DS1, but he wants blue and black, and Smyths don't have it in stock. Ok, I could go to an actual shop, but then I don't get my TCB money or my £12 off...

First world problems!

TwllBach · 30/11/2013 21:13

Does anyone have a Boux Avenue code? I've got the BOGOF for pyjamas and on Quidco they are offering 10% cashabck or 3 for 2 on knickers and 6% cashback, but I want to order a bra and knickers too...

Finlaggan · 30/11/2013 21:17

Hi does anyone have any codes for Boots?

Thanks!

InTheRedCorner · 30/11/2013 21:25

I've received an email to say I'm getting a boxofomg.

Quite excited apart from the fact that I don't remember signing up or what it actually is Grin

TwllBach · 30/11/2013 21:29

Ooooh me too IntheRed I meant to come on and say that I had been selected, and I only signed up at the beginning of the week Grin

InTheRedCorner · 30/11/2013 21:33

What is it? Grin

CatAmongThePigeons · 30/11/2013 21:36

have been tasked to buy presents for the DC from relatives so I can come back to these wonderous threads!

I have got far too many advent calendars, Moshi Monsters (DS2) Lego Star Wars (DS1), 6! chocolate ones- two are from our elderly neighbour who gives one to all the children in the road and a proper picture one. There's only the 2 DC too Blush

I am thankful for 3m command hooks to hang all the chocolate calendars- any bargains on these would be gratefully appreciated
