I bought some Harry Potter magnetic bookmarks from Waterstones yesterday, you can get all the characters (and, yes, pretty much every post I make is about Harry Potter but I'm getting obsessed now).

However, child has now told me - after I did FBI style vague questioning - that he would hate anything with Voldemort in the baldy head/no nose get up, so if anyone wants that, let me know and I'll post it. They were only £2 but anything's better than nothing as my fellow HP searchers will know Wink.

I think I also have a couple of the Honeydukes plastic sweet bags somewhere from when we were at the Wizarding World place, they're new so, if I can find them, can pop that in too if anyone's making chocolate frogs or something.

Chat with DH about my overspend wasn't too bad, the £50 saved on the nespresso covers most of it and a chunk of it was stuff DH ordered and forgot aboutHmm
I was Grin as he was going through the statement trying to cover up all his covert trips to Macdonalds, he kept putting his pen over them!

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 26/11/2013 08:57

Well, the seller offered either I return it for a full refund or I keep it for a partial refund...
They also said that although the label says large , as it is vintage, the wool shrinks over time so now is a medium (no idea if that would be true?!)

snowgirl1 · 26/11/2013 08:59

On previous threads there was talk about where to get a bargainous Baby Anabelle. DD has developed a sudden interest in dolls and prams, so thought it might be a good suggestion for grandparents. Could anyone point me to a bargainous Baby Anabelle? Or recommend a good dolly? Sorry to always be asking rather than posting bargains.

Tea if I were you, I'd be asking for a full refund and a refund on the postage you paid and, if they want the jumper back, the cost of posting it back to them. That's what Ebay will make the seller pay you, if you raise a dispute.

CadenceRoastingByAnOpenFire · 26/11/2013 09:16

I've no idea about the vintage wool thing tea but as a seller I always try to be 100% honest and upfront Bout my items to save any misunderstanding/disappointment so I would've said in the description that although the label is large, due to the wool shrinking over time, it is more like a medium. Up to the buyer then whether they take the chance. I think you should contact eBay. They tend to take the side of the buyer in any dispute and in your case they definitely should and would imo.

Chelvis · 26/11/2013 09:17

TeaAndCake, that's nonsense! If it is a large that's shrunk, it's a large in poor condition, not a medium!

Chelvis · 26/11/2013 09:18

I meant they're talking nonsense, not you! I'd want a full refund.

Snowgirl I got my dd Baby Annabell from Amazon a few weeks ago, it was 29.99. Perhaps set up a CamelCamel alert, also got a Silver Cross pram on offer too from Amazon. You never know....they might make an appearance on Black Friday deals. Not sure if there are any others offers about as I live abroad and only look on websites which can deliver here, it is too depressing to see all those toys on offer I cannot buy!!

clr2014 · 26/11/2013 09:44

My dh thinks its hilarious that December is most likely to be the only month of the year that I won't be buying Christmas presents

zipzap · 26/11/2013 09:48

tea vintage wool can shrink - especially if it is washed in very hot water. But it can also stretch - especially if it washed properly. So to say vintage wool = shrunken isn't a valid statement, especially in this case where it obviously isn't.

Can you measure the chest of the jumper and then get the measurement of a large jumper from somewhere big/well known like m&s, or even take the measurement off their website. Most people in this country should be happy to use m&s as a reasonable size guide I'd have thought! Then compare the two - bet the jumper will be bigger than the large measurement. And then use that as proof that it still is a large jumper that hasn't shrunk.

ShinyBauble · 26/11/2013 10:03

For a £5 XBox budget you could get the Christmas edition of XBox magazine?

notso · 26/11/2013 10:05

I don't know if things have improved in 9 years but we got DD a baby Annabel as a big sister present when DS1 was born. It was a big mistake, Annabel had colic apparently and cried ALL the time!
As a result I went to a crying DS1 and found DD rolling him over trying to turn him off! Grin

tryingforsolong · 26/11/2013 10:07

Flowers for Snowgirl for the heads up!

joymaker · 26/11/2013 10:27

Can someone tell me what the Aldi knitted christmas stocking is like ie pattern/colour/approx size? It was me looking for one a while back and someone on here was kind enough to report that they had seen some for £3.99. I don't have one near me but might be going down south in Dec so might/could pick one up if it's worth it.

tryingforsolong · 26/11/2013 10:36

My Matalan code gone now - sorry!
