When does everyone put up their tree?

Ours goes up on the second weekend in December normally, although this year I may put it up at the beginning of December as I can barely wait.

Not until DD1 is home from Uni as she wants to help. Grin That means probably Sunday 15th at the earliest.

There are 2 houses near where I live with outside lights up already. Lovely to look at and it gets my children very excited but I don't fancy their electricity bill. Smile

My tree goes up on the winter solstice and comes down on Twelfth Night.

I am thinking of putting up some festive bunting and doing a wintery mantlepiece thing from the start of December this year.

Ours will be 8 a.m. Sunday 1st December this year (DC already nagging!).

Usually on 12th December, but last year all the people selling cheap knocked off trees round here had sold out so I ended up spending a small fortune at the garden centre. I fear this year I'm going to have to get in early.

We usually put ours up on the 1st Dec, however my husband is away for the next 3 weeks on exercise (hes in the army) from Monday, so we're considering putting it up this weekend. Grin

Am hoping to have mine up by next sunday 24th nov, only for dd birthday this weekend it would be earlier ;) a mum at the school put hers up last sunday as her dh is so anti christmas and she did it to piss him off cos he went to the pub..love it
