If you spot any of these links or codes not working please post on the thread in bold so I can’t miss it or pm me Thanks

Careful Jacqueline, they'll hunt you down and snatch it all back if they find out you've got away with using two codes Grin

For anyone who didn't see the Martin Lewis Christmas programme earlier, here's a link to his Christmas Deals Predictor which predicts when various retailers/brands will be offering discounts, on the basis of the trends in the last 3 years. Looks like a handy tool for bargain hunters!

Pogosticks · 12/11/2013 21:52

Ooh I like the predictor!

There is nothing else I need to buy
There is nothing else I need to buy
There is nothing else I need to ....

supermariossister · 12/11/2013 21:53

amazon have been a shower Of shit lately . Orders from china received before their own and crappy customer service

cuddlymoomoo · 12/11/2013 21:55

Amazon have been great with me, to be honest - have had two recent parcels really badly packaged and they've given full refund with no quibble, and just told me to keep the stuff. Blush

soundstrue · 12/11/2013 21:56

Thanks for all the nail art ideas, my DN will be delighted. Handing Biscuit from my Christmas Tree Tin.

hermioneweasley · 12/11/2013 22:01

LOL at JacquelineHyde's "how very dare you" to earlier goading.

So Murad, what ya gonna do? JH says you're going down! Are you going to let her trash talk you?

hermioneweasley · 12/11/2013 22:03

Ps, am well aware that
1). Murad are not reading this thread
2) they wouldn't care even if they were
3). I can't get away with ghetto teen talk

JaquelineHyde · 12/11/2013 22:06

notso · 12/11/2013 22:16
Grin I have gone from not having a clue what Murad was, to panic buying it because I am addicted to bargains I needed it for my terrible skin which is both aging and spotty Hmm to being disgusted at their customer service!

luggage16 Cheers Grin have a Wine yourself - you might need it to fortify yourself for RL shopping tomorrow! (the poundland I went to was in MK; hope yours has plenty of nail varnish in too!)

I also found some christmas boxes of Kinder chocolate bars that the dc love that looked good for a pound, they had other nice make up in (calvin klein eyeshadow was good and looked impressive as a gift plus to use was nice!), lots of kids xmas dvds for a pound each so handy to have by me for instant entertainment over xmas (although probably more applicable to the small boys that I have than older nail-varnish wearing girls!), real hot wheels and matchbox cars (again, very handy for small boys but not so good for teen girls unless yours is old enough to drive in which case it might make a good fun present with a bottle of baby gro!), a cute wheelie bin that is pencil pot sized, a sippy cup for coffee that others on here have recommended as they are plastic and thus can go into the dishwasher rather than needing to be washed by hand as the more expensive metal / glass ones do and cute neat handbag set of mirror, a matchbox of nailfiles and ??. They also had glass nail files which are nice.

The other thing is that they are giving an £8 off thorntons chocolates voucher - to be spent on specific chocolates but I think the chocs are on a 3 for 2 so instead of getting 3 boxes for £20 or 2 boxes for £12, I think somebody on these threads said she had managed to get 3 boxes for £12 which is good for £10 boxes of chocs if you need them for presents. You just needed to spend £8+ in one transaction to get the voucher I think - I split my shop into two transactions of £8 and £9 so have 2 vouchers and hopefully will manage to sort out loads of bargain chocs for the dc's teachers!

NeverQuiteSure · 12/11/2013 22:27

Was it any of these, pigley?

50-piece puzzle - Rapunzel, Flynn and horse

50-piece puzzle - Rapunzel, Flynn and Pascal

30-piece puzzle, Rapunzel and Flynn

And hopefully not this one or this one since they seem to be out of stock.

Perhaps try a google image search for "Disney Rapunzel Jigsaw" or similar and see if you recognise it?

missmakesstuff · 12/11/2013 22:43

I am also going to get the monkey nail drier for a friends 14 yr old DD, defo going to try poundland for nail stickers, thanks whoever posted that, much appreciated.

Does anyone have any ideas under a fiver for a 12 year old boy? Into football mostly...I am at a loss, don't even know what team he supports!

zipzap · 12/11/2013 22:49

doh. Blush my previous post was for soundstrue not luggage16 who I now realise was the poster immediately above the message writing box and not the poster I was actually trying to reply to!

iheartdusty · 12/11/2013 22:55

SpinCycle · 12/11/2013 23:00

Has anyone been keeping tabs on Amazon.co.uk vs Amazon.com prices?

I haven't kept up with this thread properly, but for some items (furby, batcave) it is sometimes cheaper to have stuff shipped from the States than to to pay the UK price [cofused]

*disclaimer - the prices are yo-yo-ing pretty fast on the items that I want at the moment, and Stateside shipping is a minimum of 2 weeks.

SpinCycle · 12/11/2013 23:00

that should have been a Confused

Blush
Pogosticks · 12/11/2013 23:04

Hooray just got invited to a family do with extra relatives Grin More shopping required!

Pachacuti · 12/11/2013 23:06

IIRC Jaqueline's order was cancelled but when she called them up and smooth-talked them they sent her the stuff anyway. So they are insulting her veracity and everyone else's interpersonal skills.

2kidsintow · 12/11/2013 23:18

I've just ordered the lego friends calendar from amazon for £14.99 free delivery - was £17.99 a while ago. DD wants to 'upgrade' from the playmobil ones she's had and the lego figures can be added to her massive lego collection afterwards. Twerking - hope there's no reason they don't get through!

I just need stocking fillers now - for a 9 and a 12 year old. Will be hitting B&M for nail varnish/makeup etc.

DD1 suddenly into her nails and interested in fake ones but they are rubbish. I'm looking for some nail foils instead to stick on her own lovely nails - if any such thing exists to make nails look pretty and fancy without sticking lumps of plastic on them.

Littlemousewithcloggson · 12/11/2013 23:39

Pigley home bargains have rapunzel puzzles for £2.99 (also princess ones and dic mcstuffins ones)
