I used to have an hour on xmas eve to do all of my shopping, it was the only time I had free over xmas thanks to being a restaurant manager and doing 18+ hour days, it was hell and I started truly hating the season of goodwill (ha)

Y'know, I've never been to a xmas party at xmas, nor have done xmas drinks. Dh and bil used to do the dawley dash on xmas eve, they'd go round all the pubs within the dawley parish. I hated xmas eve.

I have a confession.

I looked at the up-but-not-on Christmas lights last night, and wished they were on because it would have been prettier.

I can only defend myself by saying that I think pretty lights should be for all seasons, or at least all seasons when it's dark for a long time.

Grin My friends and I are having our Xmas drinks next Saturday. In our defence, on the 22nd Dec two of them are getting married, so this is the only date available

I used to get all the presents early, wrap them early Dec, start making foodie gifts early etc.

And the I realised it had got really boring. By Christmas Eve I'd had enough. So I have decided to do fuck all til the last minute this year. As an experiment, like. as I CBA with any of it

I've got nothing, but am starting to feel slightly uneasy about this, not least because I don't even have any ideas of what to buy Confused...

and I'm cross because DH has hidden my Christmas music, saying it will be returned to me on the 1st of December. I begged for the Hely-Hutchison back but was cruelly denied.

I'm merrily buying (mainly sweets/ Christmas Eve Hamper / DD/ stocking gifts for DS and DD/ house things)

I still need to buy DS birthday and Christmas (but he hasn't a clue what he wants Hmm . Mainly wants money so that's fine)

But now, there are a load of bags cluttering up the bottom of my wardrobe.

I still need to brace myself to wrap them Grin
