hippoherostandinghere · 02/11/2013 11:11

Girl tesco had them too in their big toy sale. 2 for £2.50 but stock was a bit hit and miss.

joymaker · 02/11/2013 11:34

For everyone wondering about cancelling magazine direct debits.

I do lots of these. I cancel immediately I notice the first payment has come out if my bank. I do not inform the company. I have never had a problem doing it this way.

Theimpossiblegirl · 02/11/2013 12:20

I just had automated confirmation emails from Hearst and nothing from Conde Nast but I'm ready for them (thanks to you lot).

:) MNHQ- now it's November can we have Santa emoticons?

AliceinSlumberland · 02/11/2013 12:37

Rhonda so you cancel before receiving the item?

WaitMonkey · 02/11/2013 12:59

I second the request for Christmas emotions, please, MNHQ. Grin

olibeansmummy · 02/11/2013 12:59

Not a bargain as such, but just been to Aldi and can confirm that the hand puppets they have been advertising are gorgeous and only £2.99! There's 6 to choose from; Dalmatian, lion, monkey, cow, elephant and one more that I can't remember. They also had Winnie the Pooh characters for £3.99 that were much larger than I thought they'd be :)

pettyprudence · 02/11/2013 13:09

Thanks for the groupon links - that's kind of what inspired me but I am after real leather. Everything seems to be pu these days....

Wilko's had 75% off ALL halloween stuff today. A lot of the stuff (card, boxes) etc... were just black/orange/purple so could be used for other times of the year. I got a black cardboard candelabra, some boxes that can house some gifts, trivia game.

Wilko's also had a santa letter writing kit for £1 and some lovely first christmas decorations for £1-£3.

FourAndDone · 02/11/2013 13:20

I also cancel as soon as I notice the payment has been taken and never inform the company!Blush
So far so good like RhondaSmile

raisah · 02/11/2013 13:23

Home & Bargain hamper. The link worked!

RhondaJean · 02/11/2013 13:28

Yes Alice, the company have no way of knowing its cancelled till they attempt to take the second payment in three months and it's refused. I occasionally get sorry you left us emails or letters then but never ever any problems.

And the gifts and other mags just come through as usual for the trial period.

HenriettaBrain · 02/11/2013 13:31

Off out to do some real life shopping...is the ELC 20% off all toys instore as well as online?

DreamlessSleep · 02/11/2013 13:38

Has the m&s musical Christmas Tree always been £10? Thought it was cheaper.

raisah · 02/11/2013 13:40

M&S musical tree biscuit tins are reduced to £5 I store only I think because they are still showing as £10 online.
