Thanks for the tip - I will!

QueenofClean · 01/11/2013 10:16

Comeandgo - I see your point but it's to bring the spending in line with my eldest's presents.

Wellies is a good idea....maybe a trip to next is in order. ThanksSmile

FriskyHenderson · 01/11/2013 10:23

I can't get any of the debenhams codes on here to work - any ideas?

Clementine80 · 01/11/2013 10:36

Did anyone notice that Letterbox has now officially changed to 'mulberry toy incorporating letterbox'. Their website is completely different but they have got £5 off a £50 spend.

MooseyMoo · 01/11/2013 10:38

Queen Mothercare have some Peppa Pig smellies for £12 if you need any other clothes you get 20% off if you buy three items

notso · 01/11/2013 10:43

Oh goodness queen, don't bother about spending exactly the same you'll drive yourself potty and be over run with toys.
I make sure my 4 have the same amount of presents to open, and look at things over a lifetime. DD 13 is getting an IPad mini and other bits so have spent around £280 DS3 18 months is only having £60 spent on him similar to what DD had for her second Christmas. When DS3 gets to 13 he'll have equivalent of an IPad so it all works out fair in the end.

comeandgo · 01/11/2013 10:48

I agree with notso, I buy what they need/want/I can afford and as long as it looks fair on Christmas morning then I don't worry about the cost.

comeandgo · 01/11/2013 10:50

Are there any boden codes about?

QueenofClean · 01/11/2013 10:51

Okay that sounds fair. Thanks :)

MooseyMoo · 01/11/2013 10:57

Blush wellies not smellies

iloveholidays · 01/11/2013 11:10

any free delivery codes for book people at the moment please? Thank you

Hawkmoth · 01/11/2013 11:19

My cowboy Playmobil has arrived from John Lewis. From the size of the boxes I think there was more than 20% off some! Not checked the catalogue though.

zipzap · 01/11/2013 11:19

I think that also once you get into the realms of serious bargain hunting as on this thread there are times when you might pick up some mega bargains that all happen to be for one child because you hit a store that's selling barbies or paper jamz etc for 75% off whereas other child adores Lego or whatever that you've only been able to find with 25% off.

So depending on how you look at it, if you spend the same money one child might get a lot more than the other. If you you look at the overall approximate value of the different sets of presents then even if one child has had more spent on them ithey will still think they have got about the same.

Think of the extra you have saved as general savings to put towards clothes or Christmas treats, especially. If the amount isn't too big or too big a percentage in the grand scheme of things. Obviously not good if one child gets an iPad and a bike and a phone whilst the other gets a couple of half price barbies and a free scarf! And even that depends on age as already pointed out - if there are big differences in age then there's definitely no point in spending equal amounts just to make it fair. So long as both/all dc get something they'll love it'll be fine and you can make sure it all works out in the grand scheme of things!

Hawkmoth · 01/11/2013 11:21

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 01/11/2013 11:53

Anyone else having issues viewing this thread on the iPhone app? When I try flip it, the app crashes. But not in any other thread. It's very stressful! Worried I might miss something as I keep forgetting to go to safari.

MellowMarshmallow · 01/11/2013 11:54

Bought a Kurio 4s from Isme for £49 inc delivery last night. RRP £90. £18 off in sale, then £30 off for opening a new credit account (need to hunt out a code for that). If you already have an isme account you can do the same with Very, Woolworth and Littlewoods as they are all the same. Also had two tablets, a Leveno and a Prestige - much reduced in price. Leveno was £130 down to £70 I believe, then you can get the £40 off.

mumtoone1 · 01/11/2013 12:02

dotcomgiftshop have their regency 3 tier cake stand half price. £18.00 delivered.

My friend has the whole regency collection and its stunning. I've been waiting for the pieces to come down. It's a bargain in my opinion. today only

DreamlessSleep · 01/11/2013 12:12

Wonder if mine will have the free moustache earrings? Dsis has been doing a training for a mountain climb in Tasmania for 'movember' with the boys so it'd be a good jokey type gift that she'd appreciate.

craftynclothy · 01/11/2013 12:23

I've just placed an order with Sainsburys for some Costa Tassimo pods. They have 20% off atm so slightly cheaper than buying a 5 pack from Amazon (but just slightly more than if you do subscribe & save). Added 6 bottles of alcohol at 25% off and then used a £15 off a £60 order voucher code. Got 10 packs of coffee and 6 bottles (including 1 champagne) for £50 including delivery. Fingers crossed they don't substitute anything.

MooseyMoo · 01/11/2013 12:41

Marks & Spencers have 20% off shoes (kids, men & women) for three days

iloveholidays · 01/11/2013 12:48
