Just one word of caution: I have just logged in to my bank account and found that my bank card has been fraudulently used, taking nearly £200 from my account.

I know for sure that I haven't used the card in any shops recently - I have been in hospital since the start of October! - however, I have been making use of all this spare time to do a lot of Christmas shopping, including buying several bargains from this thread, such as the finger puppets, the Playmobil campervan, the Flavourly subscription, magpie mugs, Murad, the bird scarf etc.

Obviously I have no idea how or when this had happened, but can I suggest you all keep an eye on your accounts for a few days in case it is associated with any of these bargains? I don't really know what I have done wrong, but clearly something I visited or bought or used was not secure. Hope it hasn't happened to anyone else.

No bargains to report but really need answers to two questions please:

Just seen a few other things I might like from Dotcomgiftshop but in terms of cost it's not worth me paying another round of postage. Is it my imagination/wishful thinking on my part or do I remember correctly that they did free postage nearer to Christmas at some point last year?

Also can anyone tell me how they redeemed the cashback from the Amazon deal on TCP a fair few threads ago. (signed up to TCB last year and have never taken any money from my account Confused) what is the safest/best way to do this please?

Thanks in advance for any answers

joymaker · 01/11/2013 02:29

oxcat1 just read your post, thanks for sharing, that's awful Sad hope you get it sorted soon.

comeandgo · 01/11/2013 04:21

Awful about your card Sad .

Can't see it being anything brought through Amazon though.

MooseyMoo · 01/11/2013 06:00

Oh no oxcat hope it's sorted out quickly. Thanks for the heads up.

Sainsburys, Asda & Tesco have reduced their Halloween costumes. As Sainsburys now have min spend on click and collect I won't be ordering online. Will have a look in shop after kids in nursery. Debenhams haven't reduced any further at mo.

MooseyMoo · 01/11/2013 06:05

Just confirming Boots OOTW is Ted Baker Great and Gorgeous

DrankSangriaInThePark · 01/11/2013 07:17

oxcat Sad for you. I did do some online banking yesterday and didn't see anything awry but will continue to check.

I do remember from last year (haven't purchased anything yet from them this year) that bizarrely Paperchase (of all people!) threw up all kinds of clanging alarms on my computer and kept telling me their payments weren't secure. I carried on anyway and it was OK, but my internet security kept trying to stop me.

DrankSangriaInThePark · 01/11/2013 07:19

Joymaker- I have TCB set to give me Amazon vouchers IIRC, though have only just started using that as well as Quidco.

I notice the Amazon free £5 hasn't been paid yet.

NeverQuiteSure · 01/11/2013 07:39

I'm not up to date, so sorry if this has already been done, but:

Playmobil Bed Chamber with Cradle for the Fairytale castle is down to £8 which is as low as it ever seems to drop. Some of the other associated sets are also cheaper this morning.

chimchar · 01/11/2013 08:17

arrrgghhhh!
Keeping up with these threads is a full time job!!!

You bargain hunters, you!

Slainte · 01/11/2013 08:46

keli how would you say the sizing is on those pyjamas? They look lovely. Thanks

Slainte · 01/11/2013 08:49

Sorry keli I see you've answered my question already Blush

AndHarry · 01/11/2013 08:57

The Sainsbury's in Dunstable also has loads of wooden garages for £11.99.

Willemdefoeismine · 01/11/2013 09:19

I have a £10 Boden code if anyone could use it.....I thought it would enable me to buy something reduced virtually for free but it seemed to only be useable ontop of the other codes for money off £50+ spends so of no use to me....

PM me if you think you could use it or are they customer specific???

CatAmongThePigeons · 01/11/2013 09:29

Willem If it's 12 digits it should be one to use on anything- if it is it may be worth contacting customer services.

comeandgo · 01/11/2013 09:40

Anyone know the cheapest place to buy pink post it notes and pink pritt stick?

pixietrixiepanto · 01/11/2013 09:52

Ouch Alice, just bought that lego castle set last month full price! Hope someone else gets a bargain though! It's a fantastic set! Smile

QueenofClean · 01/11/2013 10:06

Right Bargain Hunters I have £17 left to spend on my DD who turns 2 at Christmas. What can I get her? She's already got a Trampoline, Talking Buzzbee, Peppa Pig Nightlight and torch, Peppa Playset, t shirts, Biff Chip & Kipper flash cards, Food & basket, the Hive giant floor puzzle & Talking Peppa. £17 left to spend...help me as i've run out of ideas. TIA

comeandgo · 01/11/2013 10:10

Why not just stop and save yourself the £17? Seems a pointless waste of money just to buy something for the sake of it and not at all money saving.

That said, if you really want to spend it then I would go with practical. So clothes? A new pair of wellies? A character umbrella?
