I thought it might be easier for all including Reastie if we had a separate bargain thread for food and drink.

Reastie hoping I'm not stepping on your toes here Smile

Assuming the offers will move quickly mind.

I'm planning an online shop at tesco later so will let you know what bargains are there at the moment.

Before we start raving about them, as last year, please can I just say that I thought the Lidl Stollen was ab-so-LUTE-ly vile? DH and I both though it tasted chemical, which was a shame as I'd bough four altogether, three of which had to go in the bin as they were intended as gifts. Yeugh!

Lindt chocolate website link copied from the main bargains thread. Free delivery over £40 if anyone needs a lot of Lindt choccies (everyone needs that much chocolate, right?!).

Notably they have the large red Lindor bauble for £11.99, cheaper than I have seen it this year so far - was on offer a lot last year though.

We didn't like the big lidl stollen either, but the mini ones were lovely Smile

Been hunting and currently Asda is the cheapest for chocolate with Sainsburys second and Tesco trailing third by quite a way... (Those are the only supermarkets near me besides Waitrose and we all know they'll be last in the list!)

Not quit food and drink but I am looking for two Christmas cereal bowls if anyone spots any. Cheaper the better!

Rhonda there are Christmas bowls in matalan for £1.50 and on 3 for 2. They are plastic though. If you do click and collect I think the 20%code works too.

Poundland usually do Christmas bowls etc. melamine and about three in a pack. I got some about 5 years ago and they still look fab. There were bigger serving dishes, coasters, beakers, plates etc. I have them all :-)

Another fan of the Lidl's stollen. I usually buy 2 or 3. Haven't been disappointed so far.

I need to get some food/baking type presents but not biscuits or chocolate anyone have any ideas?

From MSE: Baileys 1L will be £9 from tomorrow (Mon 21) at Morrisons. OP was unsure if all flavours are included.

Report
LalyRawr · 20/10/2013 17:04

Oh, thanks Moosey was going to buy the £12 Baileys at Tesco, but £9 is better!

Do you think it will be any cheaper closer to Christmas or am I just being greedy?
