Another year of spreadsheets and carols.
You wonderful lot you, gorn and done it again.

It's always lovely for the donator to know their parcel has arrived, so if you've had a Christmas Appeal gift this year and you'd like to use your unique MNcode to pop on this thread to say thank you, now's your chance.

We'd like to start you all off by being the first to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who's taken part. You're all brilliant!

I'm sorry because I meant to get this all sent out weeks ago, but I got overtaken by events!

thank you i picked up the parcel today, and i, we are over whelmed by your kindness
the decoration book, is just wonderfull, we shall do them this weekend and when we look at them they will be that little bit more special.

my children thank you ALOT, ds7 loved the scope..hes busy now investigating a random dead spider lol.

ds4.well.. you could not have picked a better present he is in love with cars, and his voice got all high pitched when he opened it.

and my voucher.. wow. i am going to have a think about what to spend it on, as i would love something that would remind me of this christmas, maybe a special decoration. something that i could never buy with out guilt.

i can not thank you enough or say how warm and fuzzy this has made us all.

i shall be thinking of you and your family christmas day and wishing you a very happy christmas.

Next door neighbour came round this morning with a stack of parcels to the Mumsnetter ( had to vaguely explain this!) and I've had a look in the boxes but waiting for little ones to be in bed. Santa seems to have thought of everything. Paper, crackers, stars for the tree( these will come out every year to remind us of the kindness of Mumsetters) and the presents. Wow. Loads of things we have on our amazon wish list , things ive thought of and things I hadn't seen before. And I'm looking forward to having surprises on Xmas morning!

I just thought it would be nice to let you know that your generous has parcel arrived today, filled with treats for us all. :)

I too have donated after being nominated for the first time last year, so I was determined to 'Pay It Forward'.

If the truth be told, we've had a very sad few weeks, my mum died very suddenly and unexpectedly at the end of November, she wasn't even 60 years old. We don't live near to my parents so this Christmas is going to an extremely hard one to cope with.

I'm struggling massively and trying to my hide tears from our gorgeous little boy, a toddler with SN and Learning Difficulties, is hard as he seems to take everything so very literally and matter of fact. DD is a teen and is hiding her sadness, again, something that I'm struggling with...... I just want her to let is all out. She will, when she feels that she can, they were so terribly close.

Anyway, this is a thread of joy not sadness, I'm going to stop with the tears :)

So, this box of treats is a lovely surprise, thank you very much. I hope that you and your family, have a truly wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Hi poster Xmas2013MN8871 so happy that you are enjoying what we sent, I have to confess I had a lot of fun searching for the right stuff on amazon as well as in the shops in Saturday so I'm really pleased we seem to have hit the mark. I tried to keep it in balance between the three dds but not sure I managed, thought your ds prob wldnt notice too much!

In the bits for you there is a small flat parcel you might want to open before Xmas (really small and flat) otherwise I hope you enjoy the surprises!

Santa - I think its clear from what is in the tower of boxes that you enjoyed it. I was in shock this morning and showed my friend who said that I should stop worrying as someone had had fun shopping!

I love the idea of a Christmas decoration to remind us of the kindness of MNers! I think I will use some of my voucher to do that! :)

Haven't bothered to namechange this time.. I'm slightly embarrassed to say that, in addition to two lovely parcels from fabulous MN Secret Santas (whom I have thanked upthread), I received an envelope from a company today who have sent me a voucher for a spa day (addressed to the Mumsnetter). I hope they get to read this! My family have been asking what I want for Christmas and I have not been able to come up with anything. When I saw the voucher, I realised that the one thing I do desperately want, after the last few months, is some 'me' time. Despite everything that has happened this year, I feel extremely fortunate in many ways. MN has really made a big contribution to this. Merry Christmas folks and thank you.

I have no idea what I did that moved you to nominate me, in fact if my MN history is anything to go by, it is mainly moaning!
