Another year of spreadsheets and carols.
You wonderful lot you, gorn and done it again.

It's always lovely for the donator to know their parcel has arrived, so if you've had a Christmas Appeal gift this year and you'd like to use your unique MNcode to pop on this thread to say thank you, now's your chance.

We'd like to start you all off by being the first to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who's taken part. You're all brilliant!

If anyone has any questions about anything to do with the Mumsnet Christmas Appeal then do please email [email protected].

Merry Christmas!

Hi I don't think my Santa has posted on here so don't know if they will see this. Not sure if we can/are allowed to PM.

I just wanted to let you if you posted something that it hadn't arrived. But if you changed your mind or couldn't for whatever reason then I understand.

This year I've learnt alot about the kindness of others and how willing they are to help, if you let them. Just watching this appeal has reconfirmed that for me.

Being involved in this has given me some Christmas cheer that I am struggling with this year. I also know how even the best intentions can go wrong and something happens that takes priority; so I hope nothing has happened and your okay. I wish you all the best and thank you so much for offering a present even if it didn't work out. Offering shows a human kindness I have struggled to see so clearly before.

Thank you also to whoever nominated me, I am so grateful that you remembered me and went to the trouble of nominating me. My Christmas wouldn't have been so tolerable without it. Thank you so much.

Best wishes to all. Xx

To my Secret Santa. Your lovely card and generous gifts arrived just now. I am so grateful. DS adores books and DD Topshop. I am also planning a special treat, not one I would normally get myself. Are you the real Santa? Xmas Shock

Thank you so much! Thanks

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou from all of us.

We went away on the 20th until today, so you've probably been fretting that your parcel hadn't arrived.

What an AMAZING generous parcel to come home to, thank you VERY much, the two boys were astonished that someone had sent them something, even more so that it came via the magic of Mumsnet!

I love my perfect vouchers, and have already opened the chocolates before I start to put everything away and load the washing machine, all those exciting post-trip things!

I hope you had a lovely Christmas, thanks for thinking of me. xxxx

ps: tried to namechange to my Xmas name, but it was beyond me after 5 hours in the car, mostly in a trafficjam!

After a long and tiring Christmas marathon, I have finally had 5 mins to sit down and read this thread and I found a message from my Christmas mumsnetter. Xmas2013MN7938 I have pm'd you in case you don't see this.

A perfect end to the slog of 16 people in my house for 2 days. So happy it arrived and was well received.

A lovely thing to do for all concerned. Thanks SandyMN WineThanks for all the hard work in organising it.

Posting again in the hope that someone somewhere got some baby toys - a jellycat stuffed animal (I've actually forgotten what I picked in the end) and some building blocks. I do hope they turned up.

I've lost my MN Xmas name. Poop. Whoever sent a recipe book to Canada... It just got here and I am very happy. I was actually looking at it yesterday to spend my Amazon vouchers so it was very appreciated. Thanks, thanks, thanks!

Dear Xmas2013SantaA5305

I just wanted to thank you for your super thoughtful box of goodies - it was an absolute joy to open and rummage through. We adore Nativity (although didn't own a copy) so we did just as instructed and watched it in our PJs (and Christmas socks) whilst munching on popcorn and chocolate, and painting our sparkly nails (well DH didn't partake in that part)!

The chocolate face masks went down particularly well with the Dds, who smeared them on in order to make themselves look like muddy zebras...bless.

Thank you so much, what a kind and thoughtful person you are. I hope you have had a wonderful Christmas, and my best wishes go with you for a very Happy New Year! Xxx

Can I say thank you once more? I had some incredibly disappointing news yesterday, following two more disappointing or sad things that happened over Christmas and the chocolate you sent is about the only thing keeping me going atm. That and the feeling of support from Mumsnet that this was a tangible reminder of. (sorry for convoluted sentence. Am rather upset.)

Thank you

To Santa A9702, I was astonished to receive your lovely gifts and the dc were thrilled with frustration - ds2 demanded we open it immediately and play there and then! Am looking forward to treating dp and I with the voucher. Thank you so, so much.

To Santa B9702, thank you so much for the beautiful scarf. I will treasure it always! And the voucher will be going towards some new bedding for dp and I.

Thank you both, you really have made a smile appear on our faces this Christmas!

And MN, thank you for the box from ELC - the dc love their extra gifts!

The appeal is a wonderful, wonderful thing. I won't ever hear criticism of it - the kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity of you all made a huge difference to our Christmas!

Dearest SantaA9325,

Just another note to tell you I have decided to spend my gift card on a bottle of Jo Malone's Orange Blossem scent. I have long wanted to purchase this fabulous fragrance but simply could not afford it. You made my wish come true! I will think of you and the sweet Mumsnetter who nominated me everytime I spritz myself...with love and hugs...

Dear Xmas2013SantaA7460

Thank you so much for our lovely presents :) You are obviously a crafter, as got some lovely cotton knitted face clothes and a presumably homemade bookmark, which will stop me using receipts! Those cookie truffles were delicious by the way, and the handcream lovely, everything was fab, thank you so much, it's so thoughtful of you.

:) :) :)

Slightly speechlessly coming back to this thread - as it turns out that I do have two Santas...

Firstly, Xmas2013SantaA1364 - I have already thanked you upthread, but I didn't get your nickname right (too excited and touched to be able to read properly!) - l do hope you saw it, and thank you, so so much, once again.

Xmas2013SantaB1364.... I collected your wonderful parcel from the post office today. It did arrive in time, but I wasn't at home to receive it - I'm sorry that we didn't manage to have it here for Christmas Day - but, that said, it's been very special to have some presents to unwrap and a card to read today, as we were feeling quite sad, and your gifts and you lovely, lovely words really moved us. Thank you so so much: for the delicious-looking chocolates (hurrah, I love chocolate!), the gorgeous photo frame, and for the very special little Christmas stocking containing the two hearts, one for each of our children. It makes such a huge difference when people mention and honour our DD. We may not know you, but in this respect, you have outdone most of our friends this Christmas Wink Grin The hearts have gone straight up on our Christmas wreath (no tree, but a wreath going up the banister) and they will be a part of our decorations every year. Thank you, thank you.... Thanks Wine Cake

And again to my nominator as well - whoever you are, and whoever my two Santas are - you have made our Christmas-time better than we expected it be this year, you have shown and reminded us what 'strangers' can do for each other, and we are incredibly grateful. THANK YOU!!!!

To Santa 9226. Firstly, sorry for taking so long to add to this thread and secondly, THANK YOU for my lovely voucher which I shall spend on something just for me :)

To say that the idea of the kindness of strangers, in going out and buying me a gift, and realising that I have been having a terrible time and actually nominating me in the first place, is what has kept me going over the last few months is no exaggeration.

I may well buy something that keeps me warm on the outside with my voucher but the goodness of the mn secret Santa has made me all warm on the inside :)

Many apologies for the delay - we have finally opened everything now - such generosity!

Xmas2013SantaA8353 - DS does love it, excellent choice! I love the idea that you chose it because your DS likes it too.

Xmas2013SantaB8353 - wow, have you been round our house?! I always seem to have cold feet and love baths, the DCs love colouring and are obsessed with Scooby Doo. Just utterly perfect.

Xmas2013SantaC8353 - wonderful books, next on the list.

You vipers are bloody marvellous. And thank you to MNHQ for sorting it all out. It's been a humbling and emotional experience being part of it - really.

Thanks Thanks Thanks
