Rudolph Day today!! Whoppee!!

The worst of the craziness at work is over for the week (not finished, but the MAD MAD panics finished yesterday). Traffic eased this morning (weather better so cyclists back on bikes, and I think there are still a lot of 4-day-weekers around my route, and plenty who use public transport to allow after-work-pints on Friday). And I slept reasonably well after I got my tooth repaired last night.

So I feel some bit better today. And the fact that it's Rudy Day helps!!

I think, for the January one, I am going to get my lists done, put away the last of the Christmas cards, and perhaps try over the weekend to make sure my address book is up to date. Grin

Sorry 70s, had to do a bit of work.

Yes, Rudy Day is every 25th of the month. I try to do SOME Christmas planning of some sort or work on practical projects (kick myself for not getting started the crafts I want to make as presents) and I tend to take out my Christmas mug at work for my coffee. But not at home, DH puts his foot down on that til Oct for 1 mug and Dec for the rest of them Hmm

I know some people who do RD also allow themselves a Christmas movie or book as well, as part of keeping Christmas in their hearts all year long. Some months I turn on Christmas radio on the internet radio (there are a few US internet stations that operate year round). But as DD watches "Home Alone" on a loop anyway, I get my fill of Christmas movies in that!! Grin

Hmm Rudolph Day every month - I like the sound of that Smile! I am missing my Christmas tunes, especially Mistletoe and WineBlush. I love that song.

We had snow for about 20 mins yesterday. My poor mam was flying to Tenerife yesterday, but airport was closed because of snow and when they did take off the flight was diverted to London because of mechanical problems. So the white stuff can be a bit of a nuisance!

Hi christmas lovers - have been on once before!

My dd saw the snow and said hopefully (ho Ho come?) (ho ho is santa). 30 years down the line she will prob helping rabid with the countdown.

I bought some cushions from ikea which were too small for intended use so my planned craft is to turn them into christmas cushions to give us gifts.

Um, wasn't yesterday 329? Pardon me, lack of sleep so I may be seeing things....

I DID manage to get the last roll of nice kiddie type wrapping paper (10m + 6 tags!!) in a different Boots to my usual one. 87c! There were still lots of a gold with holly leaves, and a couple of a gold embossed foil type (both 3m+6tags). But I think I have enough to get started now.

I also stopped (en route back from a meeting) at a different place for a sambo (its nice but rarely get there - I usually take in lunch and generally go a different way when I need to buy). Got a nice foccacia for me, but also a sausage roll with cranberry! So got that to bring home to DD and see if it comes close to the M&S ones she got so upset about a couple of weeks ago (upset I'd not frozen any as neighbours kids ate most of them at Christmas).

I ate the last slice of stollen on Tuesday night - needed to cheer myself up. Might even make some mince pies myself this weekend (too much going on and I need comfort food).

Gotta go eat lunch while still warm....
