Go and tell them , all these people who probably aren't following a countdown.

She the excitement and sheer panic in equal measure on their shocked little faces Wink

Oh, it's all about baby steps in my book Buzz, or as a certain large supermarket chain would put it, every little lhelps!! By doing it yourself now properly, once, in a couple of rooms, you can get the DCs to help with a small tidy in a few weeks and there is a couple of rooms you can throw guests into while you chuck rubbish into the others.

As it's Thursday night and DH set a dangerous precedent last week, DD is up late watching the new Big Bang before bed. But she's also making worksheets for playing school tomorrow with her friend up the street - DD is (primary 2?) 2nd class while friend is 1st class, and is now writing up the "homework" on her blackboard, and commenting that 25th tomorrow means 2 months to Christmas.

I knew you'd all still be Christmassing out there!

I ordered a pile of stuff for dd's party, and slipped some Christmas stuff into order. So I've got some ribbon and clear cellophane bags which I'm going to use for snowman soup. I'm going to give them to neighbours dc on Christmas Eve. The ribbon is a bit crap - does anyone know where I can get wide organza type ribbon which doesn't cost a fortune?

Lentil - will you be in new house before Christmas? That'll be exciting, hope you know where to put the tree!!

Biddy - I cleaned out playroom and utility room and now I've given up as I'm suffering from too much wine last night

I've been celebrating my dad retiring and hitting 65, followed immediately by seeing off 2 bro,s to airport, and leaving DH to go to airport after MIL lunch while I took my hangover self and dd back home (3 hour drive). Then turned around next morning to go to Paris for 2 days work myself (my DSis came up to dd). So only catching up today.

HGP is coming, slowly but surely. House is still messy but that's because I have no time here. We did the KK draw at home though, so that's sorted. I know what to get my person, relatively easy but I think she,d really appreciate it. I couldn't get any cards to write on the plane though, and found out the 1 day mtg in Brussels I expected in November will actually be 20th December!! our Christmas party is that night and I have to drive the 3 hours down "home" the following morning again!! Ugh.

Sleep desperately beckoning. Going to Belfast next week, and DH has to go to London late the week of his next weekend heading away, so we are considering going there for the weekend in early Dec, which I just thoght nice weekend, but HE said Christmas will have started there so we can enjoy!!! I must be rubbing off more than I thought!! Grin

I'm still here too! Plans slowly taking shape although we are actually celebrating Halloween a bit this year, so half term will be mostly making little themed cakes and suchlike :)

Oh, and a duvet (Aldi- Kingsize- reduced to £12. I had a feel of the covering. Lovely sleek cotton. I don't like the ones that are like a J-Cloth)

I'm here Grin
I have bought Amarretto and I'm soaking sultanas for my cake (I don't like currants/raisins. Mine is a light cake)

Baskets for the Christmas Eve Hampers ( plastic wicker-weave rectangular box that they can use after for storage) I have bought cellophane to wildy wrap it up, and I'll get ribbon from Costco or somewhere.

I have most of DD presents now except her vouchers (she wants NewLook or Primark gift voucher)

I'm still here. Just feeling a bit aargh as we are still holding off buying anything substantial due to hoping to move house soon (not actually had offer accepted yet though). Did buy Xmas Eve PJs for toddler DS, and a lovely fleece blanket, and I've written my list of what to get him, just not bought it all let alone wrapped it. I'm hoping to get a couple of bits from Disney Store and am holding out a bit for a sale!

Hope your DD has a nice birthday, buzz.
