I'm getting it-the awful twitch-have I bought the right thing for the right people or have I got it terrible wrong. Thinking maybe I should just buy some more tat stuff to make it feel better.
Trying to resist urge and just wrap and leave it there!
Anyone else twitching yet??

The twitch woke me up. I have so much to do.
Aaaaargh

Oh dear, The Twitch is telling me I need to get gifts for DP's cousin's children who we will see on Boxing Day.... Hmm. It's probably right. Why didn't I think of this before?????

I wrapped everything last night in the hope that it would let me relax
Need socks for DGSs stocking. And DDs needs something else. And although she wasn't having as much because we just paid for half of her bedroom carpet in her new flat, the bottle of alcohol I bought her is now going to be no good because she got a BFP yesterday

Twitch is telling me that dd1 hasn't got presents which are as fun as dd2. She is in that hinterland where you can't just buy any old toy but still wants same number as the others and not really wanting to go down the tablet route yet, it's good that she only geets Daddy's phone for short periods otherwise she would be on it all the time. She only asked for immortality, and isn't getting that, as far as we know, either. All the rationalising doesn't take away the twitch!

And an extra 3 for dinner today. Brings total to 17. Have I got enough food now? Twitching about going out for more and baking cupcakes but I really need to get back to sleep.

Also listened to itch and got DVD for dd2 yeasterday as others both have a DVD and lost track of how many they all have, plus had to retrieve gloves from ds's stocking as couldn't find any, so now either need to find the girl's gloves, or get more for ds. To make things worse we are separated from tree presents so can't even try and check numbers etc.

I'm going out to satisfy to twitch as soon as the shops open. DD needs a carry case for the art materials I have bought her and I want to get DH something little to go with the BIG solo gift.

And the clothes I got DD for Christmas day are too big so need to swap. And my bump (staying quiet till 20weeks) has exploded out of my trousers so need a pretty maternity dress that doesn't look like a maternity dress!

I twitched in toys r us yesterday. £80 on playmobil. In my defence I got my defence I haven't gone overboard on my 2, this has brought then up to same as last year and those 2 presents are a significant proportion of spend!

Twitch was dormant til last night when I wrapped the stocking gifts - thanks for that MN! - when I realised ds2 has 2 more than ds1....argh!
Also realised I have nothing for Dhs godson who we are seeing on Friday.

I am so glad there is a name for this phenomenon! I thought it was just me :o I did actually do some Twitching a couple of months ago and now keep finding stuff I'd forgotten about!

I actually do need to nip to town today as, after doing most of the shopping online ages ago, I then forgot to finish what I started.

However I have written an exact list - which I will then sort out into a nice efficient order - so I can go in, make a beeline for where I need to go, grab a Shakeaway and get the hell out of there.

I got the twitch bad this year and i mean real bad £1500 on my 2 dc 7&5 and then £500 on everyone else and food iv decided to hibernate now i dont care if i havent got everything im staying in i just cant help myself

Twitch snook in yesterday afternoon when DH asked whether DD (4) had 'bought' presents for the family, ie extra to the ones from us. Panic set in. I had planned that 'our' gifts were from the three of us; however when we thought (too much) about it, we realised that DD would indeed be receiving TONS of stuff from everyone....

So DH and DD went out and came back - with gifts chosen by a 4 yr old....argh. Hey ho and thanks Twitch (not)!

Am fighting my twitch today...need to go to co op tomorrow for fresh veg etc - can't get into too much trouble twitch wise at the co op can I?

I satisfied the Twitch yesterday by going to Matalan for the essential pants and vests for DD
So far am resisting today, but I really fancy the Christmas market in town tomorrow...

Plus I'm feeling the urge to buy helium balloons tomorrow...

The twitch made me add a few things to the Ocado order last night.

However today I have diverted my energy into obsessing about the cleanliness (or not) of the house...

Well, I have defeated the Twitch. Feel pretty rough today and haven't got the energy to go out! So we will have to do without the last few things.

I just bought an iPad through John Lewis click and collect because of te twitch!

It will be ready to collect tomorrow.
