Trying to resist urge and just wrap and leave it there!

Oh but a crown is definitely the best way to do turkey!!!!

overflowingmum · 20/12/2012 13:23

Twitch has just made me edit my Tesco order and add yet more food!!
Am avoiding amozon till later today. One click ordering and prime membership will be my downfall!! Xmas Hmm

pinkelephant73 · 20/12/2012 14:27

I have just twitched and bought the DSs a book and puzzle each in the Works. Their piles of presents just didnt look very big...

awaywego1 · 20/12/2012 14:43

I twitched and bought a toothbrush.... For £40 Shock

TheOneWithTheHair · 21/12/2012 08:30

Ah. The Twitch.

Yes. Me. I won't feel ok until I sit down and wrap later. If the dcs have a suitably impressive pile I'll be ok.

Then I can start twitching about everyone else. Hmm

Oh and I keep buying decorations. Why.......?

bulletwithbutterflywings · 21/12/2012 09:22

I am Twitching madly. It's a result of being too organised this year and not hosting at all. I need to go into town to get more wrapping paper so dp can finish wrapping my presents (eeeee!) It's not going to end well!
DS has an obscene amount of presents and will be receiving even more from family yet I'm still Twitching for extra gifts for him. DP likewise.
As long as I remember to get my caterpillars eyebrows threaded while I'm in town all will not be lost. Off to the cinema to see Arthur Christmas with DS this morning so maybe The Twitch can buy me so popcorn and a bucketo 'coke.

PoppyWearer · 21/12/2012 12:12

Am having a serious Twitch about MIL's present. Even though her big present is bigger than anyone else's in monetary value, it's vouchers, and I'm now thinking she should have something else to open. Am being daft.

At least my twitch-present for FIL has finally bloody arrived so can stop fretting about that!

Although the Christmas jumper I bought for myself when having a Twitch has not...

Taffeta · 21/12/2012 12:36

PMSL @ you bunch of Twitchers I too am a veteran twitcher

I am waiting for my twitch to start. Usually it crescendoes right about now, but am also full of the CBAs atm, and for the first time ever don't really give a shit am more relaxed about it.

I am resisting the twitch on the food. Or I thought I was. I seem to have accrued 3 pots of creme fraiche and a herb collection Jekka McVicar would be proud of. Xmas Hmm

Kirstoll · 21/12/2012 18:06

Ah the herb twitch!! I had a similar occurrence with spices... Am now facing a cheese twitch! Can one ever have too much cheese at christmas? CAN YOU?!?!

Helenagrace · 21/12/2012 18:15

I am twitching by proxy. DH is in Waitrose and I keep texting him with extra things we "need'.

Judging by the tone of his replies I may be a single woman again if I don't stop soon.

helpyourself · 21/12/2012 18:24

Lol at cheese twitch and herb twitch. Definitely got both of them...
Also wondering whether DD1 needs another present. If I knew it was a twitch I'd relax, but I think she'll be expecting something else- it'll be cash in an envelope at this rate. Any great ideas for a spoilt 16 yo? She has ghds, phone, laptop unpierced ears. Xmas Hmm

Kirstoll · 21/12/2012 18:32

I'd go for accessorize jewellery or something like a lush bath bomb orrr a handbag? Ur probably best doing an 'I promise to take u shopping in the sales voucher' will be cheaper Xmas Grin

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 21/12/2012 18:37

Can I come to confess?

Today I have spent an extra £100 that didn't really need spending. On cheese, and lovely little foodie stocking fillers, and gifts for friends we are staying with in the NY (already have gifts for them). And stollen, and twiglets and mince pies and bread and for some reason a vast amount of yoghurt.

STOP!

Littlebearlost · 21/12/2012 18:38

I'm twitching. Dh has crap gifts. Should I get him a half price coffee machine from argos (£40). He like one. I've reserve it just in case! Reserving satisfies the twitch.

Littlebearlost · 21/12/2012 18:39

Twitch twitch twitch, coffee machine? Twitch, twitch.

Mrsrudolphduvall · 21/12/2012 18:46

I only buy for dcs, and having wrapped the presents, am twitching.Shock

Dd has more presents to open than ds (by 2) and I have spent about £50 more on her as well.
However, ds is going to Australia on Christmas Day so is having a very expensive holiday.

blueberryboybait · 21/12/2012 18:47

DH has just had the twitch in Smyths toy store. I am slightly worried about what he may have bought!

blueberryboybait · 21/12/2012 18:49

Oh and we have 6 different types of cream for Christmas pud

Mrsrudolphduvall · 21/12/2012 18:50

I didn't know you could get 6 types of cream.
I love cream.

Littlebearlost · 21/12/2012 18:52

Should I get the coffe machine? Should I??

Kirstoll · 21/12/2012 18:53

Lolol blueberry boy, I have 3 varieties of orange !! and we haven't done the 'big food shop' yet I think it might be like going shopping hungry. Going shopping with the twitch is expensive a nightmare!
