I saw the Primark Christmas duvets in their window display. White background with Nordic type patterns in red and navy with a matching Nordic fleece throw (red and white).

Doshusallie · 08/11/2012 20:21

Ironic comments about primary being a hassle with a pram - they are a client of mine, and have often told me their stores layouts are designed with shopping mothers with prams specifically in mind - one store manager actually walks the aisles with a broom handle ensuring the width is adequate....

oreocrumbs · 08/11/2012 20:27

I think they need a bigger broom in the Metrocentre store Grin

I struggle getting a basket round never mind the pram!

shortie3 · 08/11/2012 20:29

No, Wanna the nearest is about 30 mins drive and only has tiny toy section. You can use the voucher instore but I think you were very lucky Grin when they accepted your voucher since I read other threads in HDUK and they said they would take the lower price, e.g price match or apply discount code.

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 20:36

Just looking through the book people and have seen this Christmas book for girls 5+. It's a good deal although not sure how good it is...

OpheliaBumps · 08/11/2012 20:43

Wow thanks for the LA code, that's an amazing saving, and I've got some lovelt stuff for the nursery staff!

Kelly281 · 08/11/2012 20:53

Thanks for the Laura Ashley info. I found a free delivery code N549, so it was a real bargain! I was unable to use the 10% off code on top of this, but since I was only spending £5 on 3 tubes of biscuits, free postage worked out the best deal for me.

vigglewiggle · 08/11/2012 20:54

How do I do the Laura Ashley 3 for 2? I can't find the offer on the website. Confused

crazygracieuk · 08/11/2012 20:57

Argos 3 for 2 on all toys starts tomorrow so get reserving tonight!

(Source is Argos Facebook page)

oreocrumbs · 08/11/2012 21:02

Not the deal of the centuary but worth a mention. If you withdraw cash from a co op cash machine you get a £1 off a £10 spend voucher.

MistressIggi · 08/11/2012 21:03

Chocky, I like the sound of that. May have to go back...
Doshusallie the problem today was that Home stuff is on the first floor, as per signs at lift. No probs, get lift, go to first floor. No home stuff. Ask assistant. Yes, it is on first floor, but the first floor is split Confused so you have to get in lift on oppostite side of store, travel up to second floor, and then back down to first.

Interesting that free delivery is working today for Laura Ashley - I tried that code last night with no luck. Wanted some of those biscuits, but not a good buy if paying postage!

izzywizzyisbizzy · 08/11/2012 21:08

Im really confused by Laura Ashley, my basket said £9.50 but my receipt says £14.000?

AWimbaWay · 08/11/2012 21:23

Could it be the £4.50 postage added izzy?

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 21:24

Izzy that sounds like £4.50 delivery. Did you enter the free delivery code?

Has anyone tried the festive biscuits? Thinking of getting 3 for preschool as a little bit different to the tin of cadburys I was going to pick up from tesco...

pinknanny · 08/11/2012 21:25

Does anyone know/think that the argos 3 for 2 will work alongside the exsisting 2 for £15 toy offer? Sorry if a stupid question. X

izzywizzyisbizzy · 08/11/2012 21:25

yes it is, but it said it was applying the code, I think I will wait for them to arrive and then query it as I want them regardless, they are Lily of the Valley candles for DS teachers.

izzywizzyisbizzy · 08/11/2012 21:26

I did apply the code - and it said it worked and showed in basket as working, the email receipt shows it being charged, has it worked for everyone else?

Shaky · 08/11/2012 21:29

Children's mini pool table £12.99 in SMYTHES catalogue.

I bought exactly the same thing in B & M Bargains for £9.99 today

beingginger · 08/11/2012 21:29

If any of you have an old 1st gen ipod in a drawer somewhere, apple are recalling them due to a battery problem, i sent mine off and got back an 8th generation nano.
it took about 4 weeks, could be good for a 'free' gift for a teenager maybe
www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/

Shaky · 08/11/2012 21:32

And I have just discovered and registered with quidco. Thank you mumsnet!

kiwidreamer · 08/11/2012 21:37

Oh bother bother bother... my LA account said promotion applied but doing the maths after the fact it looks like postage was charged booooooooo :( I'll email CS and see if they can sort it.

vigglewiggle · 08/11/2012 21:40

Ve just got free delivery at LA with code N501

Arithmeticulous · 08/11/2012 21:44

beingginger Only the nano Sad The battery on my firstgen ipod is buggered but not dangerous unfortunately. Good tip though.

iloveholidays · 08/11/2012 21:46

My confirmation on LA says £4.50 postage but there is also 4.50 included in the deductions above so essentially it is taken off then added back on so it's worked. Hope that makes sense. I spent £6.50 on tube of biscuits, jar of sweets and some cream fudge. Planning to put in a gift bag for preschool... Hoping slightly different to the huge tins of biscuits they get.
