The Harrods sale is good - didn't go for those teabag things but there's a lot of stuff that you can make up into OK gifts for grandparents and suchlike, all cheap on the deals and with free delivery too.

MisForMumNotMaid · 14/11/2012 14:22

Boots have spend £75 get £12 points, the usual 3 for 2 on gifts and £15 off £100 spend using code VCPPC1115. If you go via topcashback back you earn back a variable percentage depending on your purchases. I just got £168 of stuff for £98 plus earned £12 points and just under £5 top cash back.

twirlyagogo · 14/11/2012 14:32

Ah, L'Occitane have left a message for me about my rubbish stuff.

Apparently, they want to talk to me about my 'unhappiness.' Grin Fantastic - free therapy with your Poundland samples!

spookysal · 14/11/2012 14:36

I received Animal Tales yesterday, thank you to the poster who linked and suggested that book, I agree with Saladfingers, it looks like it cost a lot more than £2.99. It's beautiful.

Also thanks to the poster who recommended a noisy peter pan. I love it and can't wait to see dd1's face when she sees the pops ups and hears the music. It's a lovely book.

Also ordered 'Nature's first book' which I think my animal loving daughter will love. I highly recommended that.

twirlyagogo · 14/11/2012 14:40

Is Debenhams cheapest for Converse just now? 25% off - Office were good earlier in thread but they're more expensive on the one I'm after. Does anyone know if there are better prices elsewhere?

moajab · 14/11/2012 14:51

Thank you - just ordered 4 of those tea bag things - will make nice presents for Aunts and Uncles with some nice tea and biscuits!

izzyishavingababyAGAIN · 14/11/2012 14:55

I found the cheapest way to get converse was to use the isme code and have a collect plus delivery to nearest store - adult male leather converse cost me £30 delivered

twirlyagogo · 14/11/2012 14:57

pantshavenames · 14/11/2012 17:56

does anyone know if Zulily ever refund postage costs to return an item. I ordered a cupcake tray with carry case (oh the hedonistic lifestyle that implies Grin) and it's come broken. It says on their website that I have to pay to return it but I didn't break it and I'm not even sure it broke in transit as there aren't any bits in the bag it came in and it was well wrapped. And, they want it returned via trackable mail which will cost nearly as much as the item .It doesn't mention on the site if I get to ask for a replacement or just a refund. If I have to pay to return something, and end up £8 pounds down without even a frikking cupcake carrier that seems off.

however... 17 yr old into gaming and no outside interests... budget £15....help me please (is there a keep calm and carry on gaming mug??)

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 14/11/2012 17:58

Theres a downloadable voucher on there webpage for kids eating free.

Lunch and drinks for 3 adults, and 4 kids came to £30!

Cheap but great morning when swimming and lunch out came to about £15. Grin

pigleychez · 14/11/2012 18:13

'Their' webpage!! Octopus arms trying to cook dinner at the same time!

reastie · 14/11/2012 18:17

pants if you were returning it as you changed your mind then I'd say you should probably expect to pay postage costs but if it was damaged as it was, then I'd think they should cover that. Have you asked them? Give them a call before you return it incase they have a special freepost code or can send you a prepaid sticker or some such to save you postage costs of returning, they may do that instead of refunding return postage costs.

Am in the process of updating the initial codes bit ready for new thread, please forgive me if the next one isn't quite so thorough Hmm
