Oops, posted on wrong thread. Was wondering if anyone could advise me if hexbugs are suitable for older primary boys (8 and 11 if memory serves). I fancy getting the Xmas ones but don't know that age range well.

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 20/10/2012 11:42

We have a "winter coat wardrobe" in he spare room, with a lock on the door. I store pressies in there. But I don't wrap til dec. I have a glass of mulled wine/punch/hot cider, put on love actually and wrap presents. Its one of my favourite nights.

And you're welcome!

snowballinashoebox · 20/10/2012 11:48

from reviews I've read *iggi I reckon hexbugs for that age range would be good. I was going to get a couple for my ds11.

rhondajean · 20/10/2012 11:51

Just marking for now b back with any good offers later.

MistressIggi · 20/10/2012 11:56

Thanks Snowball. It's hard buying for kids you don't know. Hope they realise they are sooper dooper hexbugs, not the ones you can get for a fiver!

izzywizzyisbizzy · 20/10/2012 12:01

Hex Bugs are for younger kids I think, mine are 2 and 4, they love them, (but they lose them all the time), I know my nephew is 10 and he is long past them.

Littlemissimpatient · 20/10/2012 12:04

Marking thread for later Smile

Thanks to whoever posted about fragrance direct early in thread 3. My package just arrived full of glorious things for me! I can't get over the £1.99 Calvin Klein nail polishes and Revlon 0.99p nail polish and cheap branded mascara! This website will be forever etched in my bookmarks! Fantastic!

Great for perfume/aftershave gifts too!

BlameItOnTheCuervForHumanBlood · 20/10/2012 12:15

On tuesday I am placing my fragrance direct order, I may accidentaly include some goodies for me. Dang.

dyzzidi · 20/10/2012 12:27

TeaDr1nker · 20/10/2012 12:29

Thank you for this

LaTrucha · 20/10/2012 12:33

Hello new thread.

AndWhenYouGetThere · 20/10/2012 12:39

Just catching up - thank you so much for copying all the codes etc from the previous threads - so helpful! (And also the reason I'm likely to be finished and ready 2 months early this year!)

Kids presents are almost sorted - they'll have Kiddizoom cameras, a tapestry I've made for their room, a marble run, cute Argos PJ's and a dress for the DD2. Just need something for DD1 (Anyone know of a cute and cheapish dress/tunic for a 4 year old - she's asked FC for "A dress that's not pink with stars on" ?)
Grammar pedant mum would tell her she's missing a comma there, but FC hasn't corrected her!

Also THANK YOU for the link on the previous thread to topcashback ( www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/member107348678243 ) I've installed the toolbar for christmas shopping, and also found that by renewing my mobile contract I earned £80 - more money to splurge on pressies!

TwistAndShout · 20/10/2012 12:54

The smartbox table for two is £39.00 on amazon at the moment. It's £59.00 everywhere else. Makes a great present for couples. Bought it or my in laws last year and hey we're so pleased, I'm getting it again.

They can choose a meal for 2 -at over 100 restaurants.

I'm struggling to do links on my iPad, sorry!

fromtheotherside · 20/10/2012 13:01

Argos have a third off all Disney at the moment.

BlatherskiteOfTheLivingDead · 20/10/2012 13:05

Just wanted to copy my GLTC warning from the other thread -

"Be careful with GLTC - they are notorious for rubbish customer service. An advanced search on here will bring up loads of threads!

They missed a load of stuff out of SIL's order once and then accused her of lying when she called up to report it. Basically said she had received it but was trying to pull a fast one by saying it was missing"

I wouldn't want anyone's Christmas bargain hunting ruined

Allyblaster · 20/10/2012 13:11

Thanks to reastie for the round-up. Really useful! Looking forward to this weeks bargains - DH not so keen!!

LauraPashley · 20/10/2012 13:22

A cashback question- is Quidoco the best place to start for a cashback amateur?!

PrettyPirate · 20/10/2012 13:26

laura I signed up both for quidco and topcaskback, so whenever I'm shopping I go through the one who has best offer.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/10/2012 13:26

Laura - Quidco is the only one I've ever used, I find it very efficient, easy to use and lots of retailers on there. I've been on there 4.5 years and saved £418 so far (this is on my home screen, there are detailed records of all your transactions available too). They are good at chasing up the occasional retailer that doesn't cough up and I have had very few problems of those.

PrettyPirate · 20/10/2012 13:26

Topcashback it should sayBlush
