Chesty no houses yet but apparently dd's friend has theirs up, not sure how true this is

The tree is up in our shopping centre, dd (3) was more enchanted with the giant snowballs in the window of New Look though!

We have planned to go to candle lit carols on new years eve v excited!

No, no decorations up anywhere yet. It won't be long though. The city centre and the two shopping centres close to me have their up, a lot of shops have their displays in.

Guess what I did today?

I bought my Christmas present to myself and it didn't cost me a thing. A dishwasher! I've always wanted one and it's going to make my life so much easier.

Gas company sent me a refund I wasn't expecting so with that and the tesco voucher I've paid for the dishwasher and still have money left over and it's not come out of my budget at all!

The kids are getting excited now and there's only 12 days until my tree arrives.

I've got a special arrangement with an ebay seller who has put a coat to one side for me (they or ebay messed up the payment options which means I would have missed out on this coat due to lack of time) so they are relisting it, emailing me and I've got to get on ASAP to grab it. It's one of DD's presents and she'd better bloody appreciate it. I was gobsmacked when they siad they would hold it for me. Never expected that.

What is everyone doing today? Getting ready for Christmas? Cooking food?

I want to join the Christmas joy. My RL is full of stupid scrooges and I will again have to convince my inlaws to at least try and enjoy Christmas!

What are your plans for Christmas? Getting excitedd yet?

Thanks! My Christmas plans are always at the inlaws. We have morning to ourselves, just me and DH and then down early afternoon for dinner, pressies and telly. Then sleep over until Boxing Day for buffet dinner which I think I like even more than Christmas dinner.

I am excited! I have a couple of good gift ideas this year too so looking forward to handing them over.

Oh my, guess what! I had no internet. I felt lonely. And lost. It is fixed now, at last. Seriously, over a week without and my life was a little bit empty. To make up for it I've ordered more Playmobil on Amazon

It's proper Christmas now, isn't it? Neighbours are bonkers, most houses have their decs up already, including trees. It is quite trashy and I don't like it though must say I live in a 'rough' estate Even I am sitting on my hands until December until I put up my tree.

Two weeks until Jingle the elf arrives We have been watching lots of Christmas films in the evenings. Hey, without internet, I had nothing else to do. DS loves Elf and Fred Clause. Waiting for Miracle on 34th street to be on.

What are everyone's plans for this weekend? I'll be off to Ikea to buy more furniture for upstairs. I want to have all three bedrooms and the bathroom done by Christmas so I can concentrate on the downstairs next year.

Popped into town this morning and saw Santa! Was a parade in the town centre and he was in it on his sleigh

I have 2 presents to get and I am done. Hurrah!

Have you all tried the Costa christmas coffees?the gingerbread and cream is divine! Has a tiny gingerbread man in it too.

farrow I like the caramel christmas latte. Had the orange mocha latte too but it just tasted like hot chocolate, still nice though my youngest dd loves costa she always has a chocolate babychino and marshamllow for 50p

Got the things I wanted and our bedroom furniture is on order. It has to be delivered, the bed alone is 92 kg and even my estate can't take a full set of bedroom furniture. Can't wait for it to arrive. Also found some lush bedding, it will be proper hotel chic.

I went shopping the other day, so many shops with their Christmas displays and people with festive carrier bags, there was a definite feeling of Christmas in the air. Also had a Starbucks gingerbread latte, DH had the eggnog one which was nicer than mine.

I've ordered three more presents from boots in the 3 for 2 offer, just need to buy a bottle of gin for my dad from the local brewery shop then I'm done. Also need to order some present labels. How is everyone else getting on?

Next Sunday it'll be a month left until Christmas Eve :o

Is anyone wrapping theirs yet? I'm behind I've only done 6 so far which hardly makes a dent in it. It's DD1s second birthday on Thursday so I'll be concentrating on Christmas more after that.

Slobbery doggy licks are always great on a Sunday.

I've tidied the house this morning and I seriously have run out of hiding spaces. Need to make a start on wrapping next week and then put it all into the garage or somewhere else safe, because DS could in theory spot some of his presents any moment (most are in the pantry and he could go in there any time).

Is it really one month next week? EEEEK!!! Two more weekends until the trees go up!
