Nope, not started, this is normal, I usually have a crazy couple of days and then it is done.

Ooh Ruby - tell us his age, interests etc? I love a challenge Smile

CiderwithBuda · 16/11/2011 12:14

Tafetta - thanks for those links! Ordered both of those and a few others from the Bookpeople for others on my list.

We only buy presents for 2 people - my Mum and Dad. Everyone else that gets a present (ie DHs family) gets money. So I have no pressure to go out and buy loads of gifts, just buy them a couple of bits just before Christmas.
This year we are cutting out all the extraneous people (ie friends' children, friends from school) because it is just ridiculous exchanging £5 presents that nobody wants.

OhdearNigel · 16/11/2011 13:07

And we wrap our christmas presents on Christmas morning - it's a family tradition ! In fact my Dad is sometimes still wrapping his after lunch :D

Whobuilt · 16/11/2011 13:44

Have brought and wrapped everybody's, very excited as DS's will be able to unwrap their own presents this year, it might take DS2 all day though but we're having a chilled out Christmas this year. I am Christmas Domestic Goddess and also way too busy in December to be anything else, still waiting for Argos to pull their finger out and produce Ninky Nonk stock though...why, why?!

dementedma · 16/11/2011 13:50

have started on the gift buying but haven't got cards or wrapping paper yet!
DD1 is 21 on December 15th so that takes precedence - going to be an expensive month!

TheEpilator · 16/11/2011 14:06

Ruby, my DS1 is 11 and has asked for a molecular modelling kit (all those atoms/balls & sticks that you can make into different molecules)! Might he like one of those? ebay

ThePsychicSatsuma · 16/11/2011 15:21

ruby
asda do a magic tricks set
or loads of science stuff - mke a volcano etc
sports direct voucher

kipperandtiger · 16/11/2011 17:41

rubyrubyruby - depends on your budget but how about: books about tennis/snooker...if he is learning or playing both, books about the technique or famous players would be inspirational. Another one might be tickets to a tournament, a medium one if you would rather not stretch to a Grand Slam.

spookygarlic · 16/11/2011 18:45

I've finished Grin

Taffeta · 16/11/2011 18:46

No you haven't spooky, you're missing 2 Deadly 60 cards Grin

rhondajean · 16/11/2011 18:53

I would have a complete melt down if I wasnt almost done by now. If you have read previous posts, you will realise I am very anal a bit of a fantabulous Christmas organiser.

Ive still got most of DHs to get with next weeks wage; Ive got wrap and cards, but not all done yet; am knitting DD1s scarf; Christmas cake is made; got some special cards to cross stitch; food order for dinner finally went into today as DH at last after weeks and weeksremembered to ask his family for dinner.

Its also a way for me to make the happy holiday glow last right through the cold winter.

hardcolin · 16/11/2011 19:11

The idea of leaving my xmas shopping (gifts not foodies) until the last week before, brings me out in a cold sweat.

Really.

I just could not cope.

orienteerer · 16/11/2011 19:46

I haven't bought a single thing! Just started working again and my mind is on work, haven't thought about Christmas!

spookygarlic · 16/11/2011 21:51

lol at Taffeta, I got your PM and we can swap, sorry I've not got round to replying - see my message elsewhere for why.

Oh gosh I just read this and feel panic now. I have started thinking about it and booked food delivery but must get a move on. I spend too much time thinking what to get but not actually getting.

ThePsychicSatsuma · 18/11/2011 19:59
