Noubt. Nada. Ziltch.
Supermarkets are MANIC already. YUK.

cumbria81 · 14/11/2011 11:11

None.

I'll do all mine about 3 days before

lubeybooby · 14/11/2011 11:14

Christmas isn't Christmas for me without a mad charge around the shops, being on tenterhooks awaiting things ordered online and slightly tipsy panic wrapping on Christmas eve. In a really organised year I might get started mid Dec when I put the decorations up.

qo · 14/11/2011 11:15

Ive bought 2 tins of chocolates and 2 small presents. Panic is rising slowly but surely.

DressingGownQueen · 14/11/2011 11:21

The only things I have done are ordering the bits I need off the internet. Just to avoid any snow chaos panic really.

No idea what to get most people yet Confused I like shopping on december though, much more festive.

notcitrus · 14/11/2011 11:45

I've got a list of what to order, but in the case of shirts or items that don't work etc it's a lot of hassle if you don't return within 28 days so I can't buy anything yet that might need taking back!

Stopping myself buying yet more fun stuff for kids' stockings is tricky, though...

BlackCatinaWoollyhat · 14/11/2011 12:23

I haven't done any yet. I think I am waiting till we get more money in the bank before I can start also have 2 birthdays to sort before November is over.
I would like to start on it soon but maybe not just yet.
There is also 5 birthdays in December. Just hope we can stretch the budget enough! Hmm

Ephiny · 14/11/2011 12:57

No, but I only get small token presents anyway - chocs or books or a scarf or something, so there isn't really any rush.

whatdoiknowanyway · 14/11/2011 13:02

Will start sometime in December.

CiderwithBuda · 14/11/2011 13:15

I have started - nine nieces and nephews to buy for plus a set of twins that have a birthday just before.
No ideas for DH and it is is birthday soon too.

Need to pull out all the bits I have and decide what else I need.

BadTasteFlump · 14/11/2011 13:25

I am nearly finished - but then I did start months ago. I like to go slightly mad with the present piles so couldn't possibly afford it all in one month Blush.

I don't do any wrapping until the decorations are up; the Christmas muzak is on and I'm feeling festive Smile

somewherewest · 14/11/2011 13:31

I never normally start till December, partly out of not-being-arsedness and partly on principle (love Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but hate Christmas-as-consumerist-tat-fest-drawn-out-over-three-sodding-months). Luckily our family and friends are sensible and low maintenance so there isn't a huge amount to buy.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 14/11/2011 13:48

practically done, and bought two pressies for next year too, I know, mad but they were cheaper to buy three and I wanted one for DS and will put other two away for DN's for next year as I already got them something this year.

whatthefuck1 · 14/11/2011 13:54

im the same last minute dont have much family to buy for just buy for my daughter.

Taffeta · 14/11/2011 14:36

I've done the worst bit - stocking fillers. I got all the ideas off MN, went online and then made a list and got it all done in one shop. Shock It usually takes me ages and I hate it so am feeling super smug.

Of the other presents, I have got a few, have a few ideas and then don't really care about the others so will end up getting something random off Amazon at the end of Nov need to decide on the others.n One thing's for sure, the remainder I'm getting online before the end of Nov. I hate shopping in Dec.

SuckItAndSee · 14/11/2011 14:41

I've not started.
I have Dh to buy for, the dds, and nieces and nephews. the latter are of the age when an Amazon voucher and a bag of haribo is all their hearts desire. I'd rather get dd1 to write her list a bit near Christmas, and dd2 will be getting vests and grobags. I do have rather a lot of inlaws to buy for, but technically that's DH's responsibility, so I'm not sweating about that.

I have made a christmas cake though Grin.

notinmypocket · 14/11/2011 15:14

Mid December is the earliest I start. I like a bit of Christmas shopping stress and would not have it any other way!

thegingerone · 14/11/2011 15:21

Not started! Despite the fact that I'm due with dc3 and I was planning to spend my pre baby mat leave doing it (and I feel well enough to charge around the shops as well so I can't use being 39+4 as an excuse)

Instead i've bought a lot of hot chocolate in Costa and will have to do all my Xmas shopping online, while sleep deprived and breastfeeding or whizz around the shops with my pram.

I have made a Xmas cake too (It's from last year but it's got so much alcohol in it, it is literally pickled! I will be v. smug when I offer it to anyone who comes to see the (few) weeks old baby!!!)

bonkersLFDT20 · 14/11/2011 15:24

Nope. It's only mid Nov isn't it.
My Delia cake is ready to be made in it's box (I KNOW!) but I only just got the right sized cake tin today.

I got Advent calenders for the DSs this morning. I was going to compile a list when DS2 napped, but I've wasted spent the time doing other things instead.

I did glance at my Tesco vouchers and rejoice in the Tesco Voucher Exchange value of them. Maybe I will do all my shopping at Tesco.

CamperFan · 14/11/2011 15:26

Nope and I have DS's birthday between now and then too. Won't be buying too many Xmas presents though as we're going on holiday a few days before and escaping all the madness!

CamperFan · 14/11/2011 15:27

Oh and it's online all the way for me too.

ilovesooty · 14/11/2011 15:33

Don't have many to buy, but apart from work Secret Santa finished, wrapped and handed over three weeks ago.

Tonttu · 14/11/2011 15:37

Overall I am not that organised, BUT one thing I do do - each year I try to get some stuff from post Xmas sale (mainly from Harrods) for the following Xmas, rather than spending twice as much before Xmas - bedlinen, big towels and bath sheets, cutlery sets and the sorts, wineglasses, socks - they all keep and are timeless. And no I am not related to H in any way but I just find it convenient, I only go there a couple of times a year, and in sale good stuff is a lot cheaper than on the high street.

ReshapeWhileDamp · 14/11/2011 15:47

This year, I might have been the most organised ever - I bought my niece's christmas present at the same time as her birthday present (both were Playmobil and I had to get it all together, in order to take advantage of Toys R Us offer on free advent calendar Blush). So, um, that's one present bought. Seriously, I can't even think about christmas shopping until December's begun.

Which might be why I never manage to post stuff to my brother in America in time...

windywoos · 14/11/2011 15:48

oooh Taffeta, do spill the beans on your stocking fillers top tips. I hate doing them as I always feel I am filling the house with useless tat that I can't wait to throw out.
