Called back to consultant after DS brain MRI

hello, my DS aged 7 has been having nausea, sickness and headaches since November and through lots of pushing managed to get an MRI which was on Monday eve - we were told to expect results in 2 weeks. Today I received a phone call from the paediatric consultants secretary asking myself and hubby to go in tomorrow at noon. I’m terrified. Has anyone else got experience of this? What’s scared me most is that they have asked me to bring hubby. They have requested that we don’t bring DS. I don’t even know what I’m asking for on this thread, maybe someone that has been in a similar situation? Thanks x

In the days to come, maybe you and hubby will deal with things differently once the shock of it all settles. I hope you will have the strength to care for each other as much as you will for your boy x

Wow, you've been through so much in just six days! Thank goodness for the John Radcliffe, and thank goodness for the amazing techniques they now have at their fingertips.
Thank you so much for coming back to update us. I have joined the queue to send you strength, and the best possible vibes for a calm day today and for everything to go smoothly on Monday. I'm sure everyone has told you, but the doctors, surgeons, etc know so much more now than they did. I'm hoping for your son to start feeling better almost immediately.

No doubt tomorrow will be an interminably long day, just do what you need to do to get through it but remember to eat and drink. Are you pg or am I jumping to conclusions from your user name?
How is DH now? Hopefully you have good support for your other dc too

I slept whilst my son had brain surgery - I knew I had absolutely no responsibilities for a few hours for a change.
