Childminder's dog has bitten DD

Last week my childminder's dog bit my DD on the face. What would you do? I feel like I have lost trust in their judgement and allowing this to happen.

Yes, it does matter actually. People treating their dogs like their “babies” and pretending they are part of their family is exactly why we have so many badly behaved dogs and dog attacks have become so prevalent.

My furbabies are cats actually, indoor ones for that matter, and they have never attacked anyone.

Pets are family members, I don't care what you think. Thankfully it's a free country and I can call them whatever I wish in the privacy of my own home, or online if I feel like it!

Yep. Weird and pathetic.

It's neither "weird" or "pathetic". How rude.

Definitely a bit nuts and cringeworthy. I find ‘Cats’ works really well or ‘annoying little bastards’.

I prefer, "mummy's best babies" or "precious pets" myself. I love them!!😍

No it isn't actually. Those problems exist through poor training, poor breeding, wrong dog breeds chosen, abuse and neglect.

The fact that I call him my baby and don't let the mindees touch his toys or play with his tail is a GOOD THING.

They are taught to respect him and leave him alone if he's sleeping or eating. He's even learnt the commend excuse me which they say if he gets in the way and they need to get past instead of pushing past him.

He's loved and cherished like one of my children and it's exactly that reason that they treat him nicely and he is well behaved in return.

Why did this Dog Bight
If this child has been spending time and Never done it before Why Now its turned
If you had taken the child to A&E they would be reporting any Dog Bights to Police I know as I have had to go in and Rescue a dog who was facing a death row situation and was because Toddler was running around with a sausage roll Dog Jumped up and Bit child's finger

And I suppose you're saying that was the toddlers fault? For running around with food?

Sorry but thejollymoose is correct. Vets say that people are increasingly treating their animals like people and they are losing their natural habits. They feel that they are the leaders of the pack because they are being babied and treated as humans. It's not healthy. Humans wanting something to baby is completely selfish & unhealthy for animals.

More like the idiot parents fault for letting them run around with food.

Oh yes, i forgot the order of importance here: dogs; dog owners; dog people; everyone else. Ridiculous.

Im surprised that reporting isn’t normal. How else can a true picture be developed? The animal may bite others.
