I’m 12/12 & worrying now that I haven’t received the still looking text. Wasn’t expecting to hear for a while as I think I’m around the 13 week mark. Congrats to everyone that got awarded.

I am 15/12 and I have only recieved one letter around end of Jan! I have phoned up on Friday and mine is with DM but said I need to wait until 3rd May for decision as that is 20 weeks.. so going to try and forget about it before then 🥲

Really I honestly thought it was child b3nefit which is why u never claimed for my 3rd x

I recently looked into it, my sister just had her 3rd child and was adamant she couldn't claim it because its was her 3rd but its only capped against means tested benefits like UC or CTC. Her husband earns over the threshold so she has to pay a portion of it back even though he's the only earner in the household, but she's entitled to it.

I'm waiting on my daughters ni number as I don't claim child benefit either she's my 3rd and they capped it at two children

It’s only the child element on universal and tax credits that’s capped. Child benefit isn’t capped at all on amount of children

TheHeadOfTheHouse · 18/03/2024 14:06

What’s a COC please?

Misste · 18/03/2024 14:06

@KatexCR thank you. Good luck to you 😊 x

Misste · 18/03/2024 14:07

There is no 2 child limit on child benefit it's like £24 for your first child and then something £13odd for every other child you claim for. But there is a 3 child limit on universal credit.

My snan date is 11/12/2023

HG95 · 18/03/2024 12:59

Called dla they have finally received and scanned in my sons birth certificate, asked if his claim was with a decision maker they didn’t tell me just told me I would hear something at the beginning of may which would take our claim to 21 weeks

@HG95 hey how long did it take them to receive and scan on system please x

Summerrabbit · 18/03/2024 14:25

Thanks everyone for reassurance on no text. The whole operation seems very random!

Concernedfriend2023 · 18/03/2024 15:05

@Emma2345 Ah thanks very much that is helpful. Never done a renewal before as her older brother was awarded for 7 years for the same conditions, by my daughter only 2 years. Hoping maybe she'll get a slightlty longer award now she's 4. I think I am finding this renewal more stressful than the original claim.

Keepgoing88 · 18/03/2024 09:45

I’m 15 weeks on Wednesday. I think the poster who got awarded from 31/01 went on special consideration. You get looked at super quick under certain circumstances

Hi lovely , just catching up now as I’ve been working , mine was normal no special circumstances as when I first applied they said I’d hear around June time going to the decision maker
