She's 4 how olds yours

Mines 2 ☹️ so probably all this waiting will be for nothing. Even though under the rules he should be awarded HRC. It seems as though dms don’t like to award below 3

@Emmajm85 Ive had a letter and i have to go down the road of an mr now. Have you heard anything x

Ohh no! Bless you. So sorry to hear you’ve got to go down that route with it now.

I caved earlier and literally just got off the phone. They’ve requested a NI number for my daughter now, so he said I should hear something by the end of April. It’s a heck of a wait again!

Im so annoyed at myself. I didn’t even know I could claim child benefit 🙈 missed out on 3 and a half years of it. And if I had of been claiming, she would have a NI number already I’d have the decision for my little girl by now probably 😂🙈 xx

Scan date 5/12. Just about to send off some more paperwork the school has given me. Received a text today saying still looking. Hopefully not much longer.

Summerrabbit · 18/03/2024 13:31

I’m 12/12 & worrying now that I haven’t received the still looking text. Wasn’t expecting to hear for a while as I think I’m around the 13 week mark. Congrats to everyone that got awarded.

I'm also 12/12 and have only ever received 3 letters (one was just a duplicate on the same day 😂)

I'm waiting on my daughters ni number as I don't claim child benefit either she's my 3rd and they capped it at two children

I claim for 6 children (1 step child, 3 biological children and two that I am their legal guardian), I’ve never been told there is a two child cap. They’re 16, 6, 4, 4, 2, 6 months. Might be worth asking the question if they can be added to your existing claim?

Really they capped it in 2017

I was under the impression that there was a cap too. I am not sure if it only applies to universal credit?
Each time a new child has joined our family I’ve just added them to the claim and it’s been paid ever since 🤷‍♀️

I just googled it out of curiosity

Dla wait times part 35
Mumof5asd · 18/03/2024 13:45

Doesn't apply to someone that looks after someone else's child or if you have twins ect . @Stookey

Mumof5asd · 18/03/2024 13:46

I have 5 children get child benefit for 5 tax credits for 2 only

sjm100 · 18/03/2024 13:47

The cap is for claiming UC or Child Tax Credits not Child Benefit. They make it so confusing x
