@Fudgie9922 yes I did call on the 14th in the morning but it probs got made in the afternoon! Thank you sooo much for keeping me sane and checking on my updates!🥺Im over the moon still can’t believe it! We’ll be keeping each other sane for the 2025 renewals🤣🤣 now to get onto Uc but I haven’t got a clue what do xxxxxx

I updated the child bit so home screen change children and people live you you click on child enter details you MUST click DLA and then once finished change "caring for someone" finish the steps update the journal and request it to be backdated from the date you claim is awarded from and say the reason it'd late is because you have just been told you have been awarded and then wait ..... people seem to have trouble but I live in Dorset so everyone is always nice on my UC 🤣🤣 I have left a note today to ask if they have backdated it as the guy said he changed the claim and completed the actions for me

@TealFawn hi you have the same scan date as me is yours a new claim ?

Hi Yes it was a new claim

oceanob · 18/03/2024 10:20

@TealFawn does your child have an actual diagnosis? Marge this is why it was so fast? Or maybe your DM is fast as hell haha

Lolly966 · 18/03/2024 10:21

@Fudgie9922 ive done that I think I’ve done it all the change in circumstances properly and I have put on my journal about back payment I just put that I was just informed of my daughters dla award I’m not very good at wording things🤣🤣it’s come up as middle component that’s right isn’t it? omg your from Dorset?!?! That’s where I used to live but moved away over a year ago! Everyone’s lovely on the Uc there!! Wouldn’t know about where I live now but we’ll found out! Xxxxx

Yeh it does. Altho back in 2022/2023 I claimed for my middle son and it did take approx 13/14 weeks and that was when you were told 12 weeks … it still felt forever then! Can I ask did you call to check at all? When I called today mine ‘had not been looked at’ were the cal handlers words but I know sometimes things can move quite quick - have seen people been told this on earlier threads to then be rewarded the next day or two.

3boysand2girls · 18/03/2024 10:22

@TealFawn oh thats bloody quick i bet your over the moon. I'm on hold now as I was waiting until tomorrow's first salt app to send in more supporting evidence gonna say I'm checking if iv got time to send in more stuff lol

oceanob · 18/03/2024 10:20

@TealFawn does your child have an actual diagnosis? Marge this is why it was so fast? Or maybe your DM is fast as hell haha

No diagnosis yet awaiting for assessments for autism and whether he has sensory processing disorder , only difference my son was born poorly although that’s resolved now and he’s currently got 7 referrals open under different specialties

Fudgie9922 · 18/03/2024 10:25

@Lolly966 yeah I moved here 4 years ago now from Surrey only annoying this is like big shops tescos asda ect are a drive away I live in Sturminster so it's around a 20 min drive but other than that the sen nursery is amazing and facilities it's very quiet though 🤣🤣

012345k my scan date is the 20/11 and the man said my decision was made on the 14th of march and back payment should be in my bank tomorrow! KerBear12 · 14/03/2024 17:41

I did ask but he couldn’t give me that information as he didn’t know but would email the team as I mentioned I was told about the insurance number three weeks ago!
I shall try again Monday and I will write a letter of complaint aswell as they’re supposed to sort cases out in a reasonable time - people waiting 20+ weeks which many on here do is not acceptable

Hi have you heard anything yet xx

Lolly966 · 18/03/2024 10:30

@Mothertothreeboys thank you so much!! I honestly thought it was a decline, I cried🥺 I’ve got my fingers crossed for you!!! Xx

sjm100 · 18/03/2024 10:31

I’m 15 weeks on Wednesday. I think the poster who got awarded from 31/01 went on special consideration. You get looked at super quick under certain circumstances

I have asked if she got awarded under special circumstances and she said no just normal. Bizarre how the system works 🤔

KerBear12 · 18/03/2024 11:04

On hold for over an hour..
Lovely guy who told me it was awaiting a reference number for my little one, case was only assigned to someone new today 🤦🏼‍♀️ this is week 19 today and the second time I’ve been informed it’s a top priority. He did email the person whilst I was on the phone to chase it after I complained that her cancer treatment will have finished by the time I ever hear anything!
He did say he’d call me if he gets an update from the assigned person today.
Scan date 30/10 - appears if you’ve never claimed anything for your child before that’s why it takes longer 🙄 as they need an NI number (it’s why I’ve a clerical number)
