I'll be phoning in the morning, nervous as it was with a decision maker last week! X

Mountainviewse · 11/02/2024 17:15

Tired mum- Thankyou

would night time care apply if the child doesn’t sleep until early hours of the morning and they require care during that time?

anxiousartsy · 11/02/2024 17:51

Hi folks, just had a question for those who have recently completed a change of circumstances form for DLA.

Did you guys include previously sent in evidence from past forms or not? I know they said not to somewhere (unless i've got it wrong...) but I just wanted to know what everyone else did to make sure I get it right before I submit mine !

Many Thanks

Emma2345 · 11/02/2024 18:07

@anxiousartsy hi i have recently done a renewal due to my claim ending in march this year (we’ve been awarded again) I sent previous sent in evidence and new evidence so that they could see from previous things hadn’t changed for the better as he had got worse and needed more medications and frequent care I send in previous medication lists and new medication lists previous reports and new reports excetra as long as the health conditions or disabilities have remained the same / gotten worse I don’t see the issue with sending in old evidence it however would be wrong to send in old
evidence where that same child now wouldn’t require that same level or care or medications excetra which is why I think their is some confusion on sending in old evidence if that evidence still remains the same no matter how old i would definitely send it in along with any new hope this helps x

Ah great, this is so helpful. Thank you for taking the time out to reply ! I was wondering, do you think the converse would also be okay? - so sending in only new evidence and just making a note on the form that says to refer to previously sent in evidence in addition to the new ones being sent ?

Many thanks again for your reply 🤗

Sunflower1808 · 11/02/2024 18:17

@Emma2345 im the 10/11 and its sending me stir crazy this wait 🙈🙈 rang Thursday again to see if my extra evidence had been scanned ( rang the Tuesday and had a horrible lady so thought id try again) still hasnt been put on 3 weeks later , so i asked her about timing as she was really nice she said they around 18 weeks at the moment and then she said ill have a look where your at and i havent been assigned to a dm yet so not even in the dms waiting pile 🙈🙈x

Any November dates been awarded yet ??

I'm November and waiting...

Emma2345 · 11/02/2024 18:39

@anxiousartsy your welcome ,,, I am unsure weather they would take the previous evidence into consideration if wasn’t in the renewal form ,, but their is no harm in asking ,, I would just assume that they wouldn’t because this would be a renewal and this would be decision maker to read and acknowledge them to be looking at the new evidence and information to decide weather that entitlement still remained the same for example if you only had old evidence they could write we do not think your child still qualifies for DLA as the evidence provided was from 2020 and their has been no new evidence submitted to support your new claim entitlement ,,, where as if you have the old and the new evidence then they would see that the child still requires the same level of care or even more care and then still qualifies if that makes sense ,, which is why I printed all my old evidence out again we get HRC so award stayed the same but I did this because with so many declines I thought with old and with new fresh evidence too as if they was to decline / drop the rate then I could fight that my child’s level of care and needs hasn’t changed from the previous award and their for still should be entitled to the same level of care and the same award amount , this new evidence supports that my child still requires said care and supervision excetra I hope This information that I have given you helps hun x

Yes I would say so. Night time care is when you would normally be in bed, from what I read on the booklet they send with the application form.

I'm still waiting 10/10. I'm plucking up the courage to call again tomorrow. Rang last week and said it was in holding pile and would be another couple of weeks but I'm getting so impatient 🤣

Claudb98 · 11/02/2024 19:11

@anxiousartsy hi I sent off for a change of circumstance form scan date 18/10

I haven’t attached any of the old evidence only new as to show her care needs have increased since the original application and award

Lou1830 · 11/02/2024 19:14

Hi I received help from citizens advice to fill out my forms, I rang and requested them in July, due to them not having any appointments and then the man going off sick for a few weeks the forms weren’t completed and sent back until mid October. Citizens advice wrote a covering letter explaining that it wasn’t my fault the forms were late. Do you think, if awarded they will back pay from July or will it be when they received the forms in October. Thanks
