RainsbowandBunnies · 10/02/2024 09:22

@buddyboy14 I'm pleased for you and really glad they stuck to what they agreed! I hope everyone is successful in getting the support their DC need. Hope I'm not waiting too much longer its antagonising, even if it's a decline just need to know. Did you send lots of evidence or go into great detail? I sent in total about 20ish pages maybe more could've gone into greater detail on the form in hindsight x

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 10/02/2024 09:27

@buddyboy14 congratulations! I’m the same scan date, hoping I hear good news this wkend too! 🤞🏻 x

10/10 and still nothing… the wait is painful. I’m sure it’s going to be a decline 😞

CometCupidDonnerBlitzen · 10/02/2024 10:02

Congrats on the award! Still nothing for us this morning 11/10.

Just hold strong for a little while longer. I had your scan date I phoned up Wednesday I couldn't wait any longer and got told the outcome. Maybe give them a call Monday if you don't hear this weekend.
Best of luck, the wait is absolutely awful 😢 xxx

Agreed, I think my anxiety has ramped up since people with later scan dates than mine have been getting decisions.
Why do you you think it will be a decline? I'm not sure about ours. Our daughter has Tourette's Syndrome and I've struggled finding much on how they award for that. She's also autistic/ADHD but still waiting on a diagnosis. We have evidence that some professionals think she is (speech and language/school senco etc) but I feel maybe I could have evidenced her needs better. I found the forms really stressful to be honest. I think if we have to do this again I'll approach it differently. It's clear from her additional needs she's entitled to something but equally I feel if we got someone who wanted to find a hole or a problem they will. If that makes sense? Honestly, I think I've just been left to think about it all too long! 😂

TamGirl89 · 10/02/2024 10:18

I'm just wondering, my claim for my second son who is severely Autistic and none verbal was scanned on 20.10 I don't suppose anybody with that date has had a decision yet have they? Thank you.

I’m 25/10 and seen a couple with my date be awarded so yours could be soon. Seems to be 2 weeks ahead of my date at the no roughly a lot of 11th coming through so I’m trying to be patient holding off for another 2 weeks. We had our adhd assessment 2 weeks ago and officially diagnosed so when we applied we were only suspected and he was medicated too so I rang to update but haven’t had an official diagnosis letter yet so can’t send that off so I’m hoping my day over the phone was enough and they call the hospital if needed for proof

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 10/02/2024 10:40

@Tiredmumofmadam1 I think ours will be a decline too. I feel like I totally messed the forms up and didn’t write down his needs properly. It’s so hard writing all of that stuff about your child.

Hope you get awarded. 🤞🏻 x

Lets hope we both hear soon and get the outcomes our little ones need. Good luck and really hope you hear soon with good news xxx

Hi, I've just found out if you send extra evidence then you don't get the backpack they go from the evidence ;-( I'd done a mandatory reconsideration with more evidence in December them because my daughter has recently been put on the send register in school I sent that as evidence but someone's just told me it'll go from that date now and I've just received another letter saying it'll take 15 weeks now! Has this happened to anyone else and can I ring them and ask them not to include the latest evidence ? X

Really? Your kidding! I rang up yesterday and she didn't mention that, although she did say that the wait time would increase by a fee weeks. Who told you that??

2 people on another forum, 1 said they'd been told it on the phone and another said it's on the forms. I really don't get it as its all evidence about the same claim! An people are always sending in extra evidence aren't they x

Downtoyou · 10/02/2024 11:24

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this.

I have received 2 letters this morning. The first explains that my son has been awarded HRC and LRM and how much backpay he will receive.

The second letter states that the amount he is entitled to has changed and they will be in touch soon and due to this the backpay hasn't been paid.

Has this happened to anyone else? What was the outcome? I have tried calling but they aren't open on Saturdays.

Reeeeally?! Gosh that's terrible! Not sure what to do now - might wait and see if we get it, and if not, will send in extra evidence afterwards.
Thanks for the heads-up!

The second letter should only be in regards to the rates going up slighty at some point in April as this happens at the end of a tax year it’s nothing to worry about

I've honestly never heard of it before I always see people on here sending in extra evidence, I've just looked through the claim form and the notes and nothing is there and I'm sure they'd say on the phone wouldn't they. I'm going to call them tomorrow to clarify. X
