I’m north west too some people seem to think it does maybe they have decision makers that work by areas of the country I hope we don’t have much longer to wait I’ve seen quite a few people get money in their accounts exactly 18 weeks from scan date that takes us to next Friday 🙏🏻

Mrssnee16 · 09/02/2024 09:35

Well my brain is getting too old. My son got awarded on Monday so I updated my uc. Not heard from them so I ring this morning. I've only logged my sons award as cdp, coz in my brain it's for children and he's a child.... cdp is the Scottish version of dla. Did any1 else make this error or am I just Mrs thicky from thicktown?? Just had to ring carers allowance to make sure I hadn't made the same mistake with them too 🤦‍♀️

Called again this morning to be told that i wont get a decision until the end of March yet was told last week end of fed, start of march.

Scan date 17th October. Im in Wolverhampton (West Midlands)

I think they tell you longer waiting times to stop you calling. Everytime people call they never get a consistent answer. I called Monday and the guy said 17-20 week wait xx

Lindsey89 · 09/02/2024 09:55

@Jonesy0102 i really hope we get decisions. Soon so iknow where I'm at and what I need do next no point ringing neither as it seems they either arnt giving information at all or they make it up as they go along the days in work ive sat it out and just read on here for a long time but now I'm getti g annoyed and impatient... I really don't know how it works I wished I did but surely it's should go by date not area but as we've seen on here it's doesn't seem like they have a system in place at all

Mummybabies2 · 09/02/2024 10:01

I just found out my son was awarded HRC and LRM until 2030😭😭..I’m over the moon. He is 5 and his scan date 19/10

Lindsey89 · 09/02/2024 10:02

I called beginning of week and was told it won't be long I assure you won't be long but claimed she couldn't get any information up in front of her she just saw my evidence soon as I said I'm. 17 weeks friday she started to sya wont be long etc 17 weeks today and the wait goes on

Lindsey89 · 09/02/2024 10:04

I applied for my family fund grant yesterday, received a text today with a link to AO.com to order our kitchen appliance. All ordered and now arriving tomorrow! Absolutely amazing I highly recommend to anyone needing any help. Those grants are a god send x

Mummybabies2 · 09/02/2024 10:14

Mummybabies2 · 09/02/2024 10:38

Gracie1909 · 09/02/2024 11:07

Nope no bank statement I just sent a print screen of my UC and a pic of my DLA award letter. And they base it off those. Couldn't praise them enough. X

Hi, just to let you all know MR seem to be taking 11 weeks. They received mine 21/12/23 and I've just had a letter saying 11 weeks from that date. By the time that date comes round it'll be 36 weeks from when I rang for the forms in June.

Nataliepb90 · 09/02/2024 11:25

Forms received 10/10. Called this morning as got very anxious seeing people with later dates being awarded. My 11yr daughter has only been awarded! I'm absolutely buzzing for her and nearly cried when he told me. Award length is 18 months but she has MRC and LRM backdated to 27/09/2023. It's going to help a lot in the scheme of things! Good luck to everyone and I'll see you all back at renewal time :)

Claudb98 · 09/02/2024 11:28

Scan date 18/10 COC

Just got though after 35 mins on hold

polite man answered said I was at 16.5 weeks waiting time and that COCs are typically taking around 19-20 weeks to reach a case manager and that this is roughly the same time as new claims

not sure how true this is but either way I won’t call back until end of feb/beginning of March now

good luck all

Momonamission91 · 09/02/2024 11:42

I would say wait until you have a decision, which should be any day now. I was also waiting for a decision for my son's EHCP and called to see if I should send in information even though my son's case was in the holding pile. The next day, it went to the DM. They said they would wait for my EHCP evidence to come in before deciding. This would hold up my application as it takes a while to scan. The EHCP was declined; I formed them the same day, and they decided the same day. I would wait and send an MR in if you're not happy with the decision.

I'm waiting on family fund getting back to me. I applied yesterday for a little haven getaway, my family suffered so much last year we all deserve a little break. My older kids have willingly gone without so our Toby's needs were constantly met so they deserve it more than myself and my husband. Fingers crossed it gets accepted.

This is good to know. I might look into it. I had read before they come out to visit you etc so it put me off.

Thenoseymother · 09/02/2024 11:54

How long did it take everyone to receive their award letter? I was awarded 26/01 and still not had the letter.

This is encouraging, thanks for sharing your update.

My scan date 18/10 currently on hold checking if last info was received

ForMauveEagle · 09/02/2024 13:05

Just off phone. 35 mins on hold.

Scan 18/10 received additional info attached to claim. Currently in New claims holding. New claims taking 17 weeks, so shouldn't be much longer (his words).

Advised to call back next Friday. Fingers crossed x
