@Helenmummyof3 oh no are you not happy with the rates? Wasn’t you awarded yesterday? I think you can call up and start the MR over the phone. Sorry to hear you’ve got to fight some more 😞 x

BrizzleMum84 · 10/01/2024 16:32

Silent watcher. Scan date 14th Sept. Getting anxious now. Has anyone else claimed for their almost 16 year old child? I thought I had to wait for his diagnosis before I could apply and that's taken years!!

Momof2Life · 10/01/2024 16:42

@lpt33 I'm 18/10, 2 letters no texts too :)

Dizzylizzy91 · 10/01/2024 16:44

@BrizzleMum84 my scan date is the 13.09.
I'm still waiting. But my claim is for a 15 Yr old. Who masked symptoms extremely well.. and then the wait to get diagnosed through covid was horrific. Finally, I got a full diagnosis in August. ASD and ADD.. my form that I did was very long, and I added all evidence I could gather from primary schools and secondary, all past docs appointments, and I asked her school to write a "Lovely" statement regarding her behaviour. If it's not rewarded I will be very surprised! Good luck!

Helenmummyof3 · 10/01/2024 16:47

@Loup19863 yes award yesterday. Lrc and lrm I didn’t even fill in the mobility part but he should at least be on middle I’m up with him at least 5 times a night he’s only going to school twice a week (if that) he won’t leave the house he’s only just turned 9! iv had enough now I just need enough money to get him some cbt therapy x

Loup19863 · 10/01/2024 16:52

@Helenmummyof3 my little boy was awarded the same earlier this year, I believe he should have at least been awarded mrc as he doesn’t sleep etc, I just didn’t have the energy to do a MR after waiting so long but I really regret not doing it, defo do the MR sounds like he should at least be on mrc if not hrc. Good luck with it all x

Holly1991 · 10/01/2024 16:55

Helenmummyof3 · 10/01/2024 16:59

Thank you @Jneill2021

BrizzleMum84 · 10/01/2024 17:03

Yes the SENCO team wrote on the form for me too as he is in a seperate provision as the school system was just awful for him to cope with, so suspensions EVERY day. Falling asleep in class as he was awake all night. Was awful. He's 16 in a few months so hopefully get child DLA award before he has to move to PIP. You too hun. Xxx

Linacre96 · 10/01/2024 17:24

@Holly1991 mine 01/09 went to a decision maker yesterday

Sarah260486 · 10/01/2024 17:26

Scan date 29/08 was told today with a cs manager how long for a descion now does anyone no

WhereDidTheTimeGo888 · 10/01/2024 17:27

@BrizzleMum84 Hi, my son is 16 this year. He has reduced hours at school, so only does 3 days, but some weeks only manages 1 day. His timetable should be in 1 day, then has the next day off to recover. He doesn’t sleep very well at all either. I’m up a lot with him through the night. Good luck with your claim. Let me know how you get on. X

Holly1991 · 10/01/2024 17:29

@Linacre96 I did call yesterday aswell and they said mine was with DM hopefully it's not much longer x

StephXx1 · 10/01/2024 17:31

@Sarah260486 mine has been with case manager 3 days apparently - 31/08 scan date x

BrizzleMum84 · 10/01/2024 18:08

Yes. My son is 16 this year and does 2 days a week at a different provision. The school are looking at a part time time table for him for his English and Maths for his GCSEs later this year. Thank you. I will do. Xx

Sarah260486 · 10/01/2024 18:17

@StephXx1 its redicoulous tbh the wait time xx

Journeytosober · 10/01/2024 18:26

Hi all. Joining this thread. Our letter was on the 27th September. We should have heard today. I haven’t received any correspondence or text messages other than that it’s been recorded as received. Should I be worried ?

BizzleMummy · 10/01/2024 18:34

I applied 2 weeks before my daughters 16th as I was advised by her consultant to do so as they usually award a 2 year claim. I don’t know if that’s what’s been rewarded as I’m not going to call up and block the lines for others who need updates. It appears it’s taking 19 weeks for claims at the minute, I was bang on 19 weeks when the money was in my account for my DD.

UC updated at 9am and letter for reward but 1530, I’ve been quite fortunate, I hope you are too x

Hey, at the moment it's taking about 20 weeks from the day they scanned your letter x

BrizzleMum84 · 10/01/2024 19:08

This makes me feel less anxious knowing you applied 2 weeks before their 16th birthday. Thank you. Xx

bluesign · 10/01/2024 19:17

Can anybody tell me when I can expect to receive forms for renewal? Claim ends in October.

He's 5 in April also, will we get mobility?

Donnakr1976 · 10/01/2024 19:30
