Newby lurker here :) First ever claim with a scan date of 21/9. Was 17 weeks yesterday so rang them but was told it will be at least 20 weeks.

Emma2345 · 19/01/2024 14:20

@Hannz40 no you do not have to wait for a letter to notify uc u can notify universal credit today if you no what rate your getting I notified mine the day I found out as I’d recieved a text saying your child qualifies for dla x

@LmumL look at the bottom of the picture I just posted, I did that and less than 24 hours later they have updated my statements from august 2023 and give me an underpayment which I will get on monday x

Is Monday your normal payment day or are they paying it as a one off stand alone payment? Just wondering if I’ll have to wait until normal payment day for my back pay.

BrizzleMum84 · 19/01/2024 14:29

OMG Just got through and my boy has been awarded HRC and LRM. I could cry. Thank you all for your support during this time. You really are a great community of parents. Xx

Hannz40 · 19/01/2024 15:02

Thank you for replying and do I have to put a date on UC to say when my child was awarded?

Tanyacx · 19/01/2024 15:23

Emma2345 · 19/01/2024 16:23

@Hannz40 no I don’t think so I didn’t because all the systems are linked so they will likely no the dates or they probably ask dwp what dates x

Tanyacx · 19/01/2024 16:31

Just curious Has anybody that's been accepted for dla recently had the cost of living payment backdated? Thanks

Tanyacx · 19/01/2024 16:38

@PouchyMama same scan date for me hopefully not too much longer to find out.

Jesshol36 · 19/01/2024 16:40

1st time phoning up today, took 1hr 20mins. Got through to a lovely man who confirmed my daughter had been awarded yesterday Scan date 13/09. Mrc and lrm. Good luck to everyone waiting xx

Luevzamum · 19/01/2024 17:13

just wondering if anyone knows whether I need to update any details on my universal credit as my son has gone from HRC and LRM to HRC and HRM. I don’t think I need to as it won’t make a difference to payments o don’t think, but just wondered if I needed to do it anyway x thanks

Mamof31 · 19/01/2024 18:33

@Jesshol36 congratulations on your daughters award, I’ve still got no decision 13/9 really think he’s going to be turned down. I didn’t really want to ring them but think I’ll have to Monday

Hannz40 · 19/01/2024 18:38

Thank you I've reported the changes to UC.

Jesshol36 · 19/01/2024 19:00

@Mamof31 I honestly thought we would be declined again as only 1 piece of evidence sent in. I wasn't going to phone but had a spare 2 hours and glad I did. Fingers crossed you wake upto payment in account before you ring. I've had no texts at all and only 1 letter from them so my nerves have been shot since reading about people getting texts etc

PouchyMama · 19/01/2024 19:02

Fingers crossed for you too! 🤞🤞

Anne92 · 19/01/2024 19:37

£3354 divided by 20 weeks = about £167 per week means HRC & HRM I'd say.

Just curious Has anybody that's been accepted for dla recently had the cost of living payment backdated? Thanks

People getting DLA only had the £150 cost of living payment if they were getting DLA on 1 April 2023 or had applied for DLA by 1 April 2023

Anne92 · 19/01/2024 19:57

@RainbowZebraWarrior wow 😳 thank you!! I was gathering evidence as I was sure we'd have to do an MR

ToddlerandTeen · 19/01/2024 20:04

£3354.90 -£10 Christmas bonus is 26 weeks of HRC LRW if you called for the forms in early Aug it could be that x
