On hold now hopefully decision has been made, Decision maker spoke to us this morning and said she will be doing her decision this afternoon. Will update if there is any decision.

Robyn81 · 18/01/2024 15:19

@Claudb98 I'll tag you when i eventually hear... yoi should only be a few weeks behind.. I'm not very good at waiting 😕 🤣

Claudb98 · 18/01/2024 15:27

Thanks! or me I want to ring them but I’m pretty sure it’s too soon so I won’t hold up the phone line for others x

danigrace · 18/01/2024 15:32

Got my second "still looking" text on 3rd Jan and a text to say it's been awarded today. I wonder how long it will take for the paperwork to come through

Danwal · 18/01/2024 15:35

Ok thank you!

EarlofShrewsbury · 18/01/2024 15:51

I got my back pay in Tuesday and my letter turned up today.

MRC LRM for 2 years.

I was only expecting 2 years tbh because she's still awaiting a diagnosis and her needs could change over the next couple of years.

I kept getting cut off and was at work so gave up!

Leeuk1 · 18/01/2024 16:10

Nice one when was your scan date

EarlofShrewsbury · 18/01/2024 16:14

Scan date 4/9

OP posts:
Mummy2024 · 18/01/2024 16:20

Happy to say he was awarded Monday. Scan date is the 8/9/23. No text, no letter just money in the bank this morning. I think it was mrc and lrm only from scan date as we were considerably late with the form but I'm not 100% sure until we get the letter. If it's as we think it is, we are completely happy with that, it meets his current needs. Thankgod the wait is over for us good luck to everyone still waiting

TanSav95 · 18/01/2024 16:39

Just had the your child qualifies for DLA text, not sure of rates or if they have backdated it to original date we phoned as form was sent back late but we did ring up to warn them and got a extension on sending the form back. Going to ring up tomorrow morning to find out rates as I very doubt I will get through now before they close.

Howgoesthework · 18/01/2024 16:48

Scan date 1/9 - just got a call asking why my form was returned late, and told that my son has qualified, but no information about rates etc, and no payment yet. Thank you all for this thread, it’s kept me going. The wait has been really difficult. Best of luck for everyone still waiting and especially those having to do a MR. I have been told that the vast majority of these get awarded so I hope that’s the case for you all.

Mamof31 · 18/01/2024 16:50

@Howgoesthework what number did they call you off please, I had a missed call from a 0844 number today. Congratulations on your sons award

Howgoesthework · 18/01/2024 16:52

@Mamof31 it was 0800 023 2635 - I don’t know if they call from other numbers as well though. Good luck with your claim.

tiredmum1989 · 18/01/2024 17:07

Has anyone had an award letter that doesn’t say clearly how long the award is for? My daughter’s gave a clear end date but my son’s just says ‘from 26/07/23 we will pay you £x a week’

lillyT83 · 18/01/2024 17:14

@Claudb98 I done coc forms end of November and I got told 26 weeks for a decision for my daughter. I done a new claim for her twin brother 2nd Nov and I'm expecting to hear from his first to be honest x

Keddie · 18/01/2024 17:19

Congratulations @Ilovemychildren123 I had a letter today confirming they are still looking at MR and could take 15 weeks!! @Jneill2021 xx Did anyone else get a letter to say we acknowledge your MR?? x

Ilovemychildren123 · 18/01/2024 17:20

Hi All,
not posted before but been following for a few months.
i sent off 2 forms for my 2 little ones on the same day… one got scanned in for 22nd Nov (actual date it was recieved) and the other scanned in 13th October (day I called for forms). So weird that they did two diff dates for forms recieved on same date!
anyways I sent off birth certificates for both around end of November (sent separately) and neither has been scanned in! I’ve sent more evidence for one child much later and that’s on the system… so the birth certificates are assumed lost? Anyone else had issues with this?
I will head to job centre and have these verified tomorrow instead of sending more certificates to get lost…

Shaf89 · 18/01/2024 17:32

Congratulations on all the recent awards!! So happy for all your little ones. Nice to see they are speeding through September quite nicely 🙏🏼

TanSav95 · 18/01/2024 17:46

We had a text after I got off the phone, saying our child qualifies for dla, I am ringing up at 9am to see what rates and when it’s being backdated to, we had a extension on sending the form back as my mother in law passed so technically they should backdate it to when I phoned up for the form x

Always send them documents by special delivery I had to send the birth certificate (we had to send the original)we received it back a few days later if sending med professional letters always photocopy them and send the copies

Same, sent 2 forms same day, 1 was scanned the other hadn't been when i rang up to check. They have asked for birth certificate for the one that is scanned but I'm going to send both together since they will eventually ask for the other.
