Does that make a difference? I’m in Sussex. I phone on 16th August for the forms then sent them back right towards the end of the cut off so I don’t know if that makes a difference?

one hour 25 minutes to get through this morning told it’s waiting to be looked at said it’s taking 19 weeks at the moment wouldn’t really go into much detail I asked if it was with a decision maker and he just repeated it’s waiting to be looked at x

Sarahdestiny · 17/01/2024 12:36

@Jonesy0102 I bet you will get 1 once you reach 15 weeks to then cause its only 1 I've had and I'm bang on 15 weeks today x

Homesweethome93 · 17/01/2024 13:13

Hello, just wondering about doing an MR, when I called they gave me reasons on the phone that aren’t on the letter, is it quicker to call and then do it over the phone or send it on paper ? (The mr form)

TanSav95 · 17/01/2024 13:18

So annoyed! Scan date 16/8, had a phone call from DM on Friday asking questions, she then spoke to sendco at school yesterday, today I phoned up and the person who answered the phone was like the DM that’s dealing with yours isn’t in atm and I’m not sure if she’s in later or has the day off, she said it says on here a man spoke to school yesterday so I will message him while your on the phone ( I know this isn’t true as Sendco at school told me she spoke to Louise (dm) same one as I spoke to. He then messages her back like I don’t sign that off, so she said my computer is not loading, I will ring you back by 1pm to let you know what’s going on and update you as I finish at 1pm. Still had no phone call back so now on hold again.

DaylaD · 17/01/2024 13:22

I just spoke to a lady on the phone who said they are dealing with September claims at the moment. She said at 18 weeks the claims go to a DM then it takes up to 2 weeks for them to make a decision!
Good luck to everyone x

FlutterByASD · 17/01/2024 13:23

I have just received money from DLA so it looks like my son has been awarded! The relief is unbelievable! I haven’t actually had any paperwork to give me details does anyone know when I should expect it?

do they award for a certain amount of time or is it totally individual?

scan date was 27/09

It’s individual to your child and the likelihood that their care needs will change.

ItsRalf · 17/01/2024 13:59

BrizzleMum84 · 16/01/2024 12:09

@Cjbabs1986 congratulations on your award. This gives me hope as my child has an ADHD diagnosis. Is on an very very reduced time table for 2 days a week and the other 2 days he is in an alternative provision to do manual trade for 2 days. He has combination ADHD. Dosent sleep more than 3 hours a night and has flooded my house at least 3 times and Also set the kitchen in fire 🤦🏽‍♀️ all due to forgetting things or what he's doing. He is on the SENCO register and they wrote a statement on the form for me too.

I hope you mind me asking, but how did you manage to get the alternative provision? My daughter is at 40% attendance and I'm trying everything I can to get her some form of education. It's costing me a fortune for a tutor. She does have a little Saturday job and loves it!

Your son sounds like my daughter. She even went to the extreme of tying blankets together and trying to jump out of a 3 story window because she wanted to go outside at 3am. I've got her ADHD assessment on the 30th, we've been waiting 2 years!
