Anxiously waiting, scan date 4/9.

13/9 scan date 2 letters 2tx. Fingers crossed it be soon for us Good luck everyone x

I'm the 4th Sept and haven't heard yet

I'm 8/9/23 so one day after you and no news yet sadly I'm really hoping it will be next week, week after at the latest

In this situation they must be waiting on something like medical records I would think... They were dealing with your date Christmas week, so if they needed records from school or doctors they would not have had any response over the Christmas period. I would think you will hear really soon. I have a feeling my decision will be delayed aswell contacting school and health records

@Mummy2024 yeah this was what I was thinking. I sent off evidence and some was from the senco at his school and also his class teacher filled the part on the form ‘somebody else that knows your child’. I’m going to call back this week to see if there’s an update as it’s 22 weeks tomorrow x

@kcg24 it’s 22 weeks today, going to call this week to see if there’s any update. It’s hard trying to get through to them though so puts me off calling x

I was so ready to wait the 20 weeks and I was at peace, but then I got that text on Wednesday saying my child had been awarded and now I am just going mad with nerves. No letter yet because it can take two weeks, and no money into the account.
Does anyone know how long from text to money? I just need to know that it is not a mistake and what rate but I am not keen on calling unless it is of the highest important to help the queue times.
Was anyone awarded by text on Wednesday last week?

@kcg24 and I rang one just before 4 and it was cutting off after the whole machine speech and selecting all the options. My guess is that since they close at 5 they cut you off then because they know you would be waiting for an hour and then it will be 5 and you will never go through. Nerve wracking. Not complaining, I know they are busy and have accepted that. I almost wish they hadn't sent me a text!

@Tangerin congratulations would you mind me asking how long you waited in all x

I'm on hold now as I'm ringing for change of circumstances. I'm in week 16. I hope this doesn't ruin the claim.

Am I able to apply for carers allowance when all of this is complete?

@Keddie @Jneill2021 I am not going to call either this week just going to try and be patient and see what happens if I don’t hear by next week I’ll call. The wait is agonising especially as I think will be decline again although all evidence is there. Good luck to you both as well x

@Sarah260486 I am getting really nervous now because I think mine should have gone in today and it hasn't so now just paranoid that the text was a mistake. I don't think the text is a great idea to be honest. They say you are awarded but not which child or rate. And the phone line is nonworking at all for me now

@Tangerin i got a text i rang fir dates maybe call youll get it they could of forgot to process payment they do this alot

@KellieD90 hi. I have not been looking at dates as I would stress but it was after the summer and I did write on my calendar that by end of Feb/March I should hear (much like a due date I like to think evertthing will take lots of time so I dont stress. And here I am now, anxious as it can be. I sent two claims for two children maybe a few weeks in between them so I am not sure at all now :-(

@keddie mine is 23rd November so we are 8 weeks on Thursday x
