I sent my application in the post on 10 December. I haven't heard back from them at all. Don't they normally let you know that they've received it? I should have sent it recorded!

My first letter was about 6 weeks after scan date which was about 7 weeks after I posted the forms.

Oh, so didn't they even acknowledge receipt until seven weeks after you sent it?
I'm worried my application has got lost in the post.

I didnt get any letters to say theyve got ours when i sent my daughters and i didnt get my first text till 10 weeks and recently had a second text nearly 15 weeks

Kelly1910 · 12/01/2024 20:31

Scan date 30/8, after 19 weeks and 2 days got the text to say my son qualifies, I did have a missed call from them I think but wasn’t able to answer it then got the text, just waiting on what he has been awarded, it’s such a long and painful wait and I’m glad my son is getting what he deserves, I was really worried it would have been a decline as some of my evidence was old but it shows how long my son has been having his difficulties, so my advice would be send everything you have to hopefully give them a better picture, good luck to everyone still waiting

LMummy38 · 12/01/2024 20:37

I'm scan date 22/9. I've sent diagnosis letter from peads, ehcp, sleep Diary, school reports etc but I've just had results over the phone from genetic testing and a referel to genetic specialist, I won't receive letter for a couple of weeks regarding this. Is it worth me ringing this through and adding to claim or just leave it? Thanks x

Kezzia87 · 12/01/2024 20:42

@Acornsplop i didn’t receive 1 text or letter the whole time, which for me was 22 weeks, I wouldn’t worry about it too much (easier said than done) but if you want to ring to confirm they’ve got it and you are available 9am is the best time to get through

Scan date 19/09 anxiety kicking in now 17 weeks Tuesday I haven't sent much evidence as didn't have it just adhd referral really getting anxious my daughter will get declined I will do Mr as I have more evidence now and a adhd assessment appointment beginning of Feb i also think she is asd which I will bring up at adhd appointment and hopefully they will help me with the referral i can only handle one just hoping not to have to Mr I found the form really over whelming and got confused on questions I'm pretty sure I'm adhd just undiagnosed so doesn't help and I just looked at the form for 4 weeks and left it till the last day I could I just hope I've filled it out well enough for them to see my daughters additional needs I'm so tired of it all everything is a fight and feels like no one wants to help, also with the lack of sleep from my daughter not sleeping I'm exhausted

I just want this to be over with and get my daughter the help and support she needs

Thank you for your reply. It's just such personal information isn't it? Wouldn't want it to get lost.
What's a scan date?

AndrewGarfieldsLaptop · 12/01/2024 23:30

Advice please 🥲

Scan date 25/09. I've had two texts, two letters. Since September my son has now refused to go to school (he's on a reduced timetable) and my husband has had to leave work to become the primary carer while I've returned to work.

Should I call and let them know a change to our circumstances?

MC2180 · 13/01/2024 01:48

@Geegee1506 yes, I’m waiting on a MR that I sent bk in 28/11

Loup19863 · 13/01/2024 07:16

@AndrewGarfieldsLaptop I would defo let them know, if you can I’d write a letter and send it special delivery, give the schools details so they can confirm son doesn’t attend school. If your scan date is 25/09 I’d assume you’ve got another good few wks of waiting yet so defo worth sending the extra evidence. Good luck x

Worried74 · 13/01/2024 08:38

@ForTheLoveOfSleep does carer's credit give you the same protection as carer's allowance i.e. full N I contributions so full state pension is possible?

Claudb98 · 13/01/2024 09:11

Hi all good luck

waitinf for decision on change of circumstances scan date 18/10

Ilovemychildren123 · 13/01/2024 10:03

@Geegee1506 thank you will do x

Kezzia87 · 13/01/2024 10:52

@Acornsplop your scan date is the date they scanned your forms onto the system, that is the date they work off when giving these time frames so 18 weeks from then and it is! I don’t even think they received my sons ECHP so anyone could have read that! They didn’t have it the last time I asked and I didn’t have time to send it again (so I thought) I’m pretty convinced that’s why he’s been awarded MRC as his needs are soo high both day and night!

Dumbo05 · 13/01/2024 12:56

Sent forms off 21/08/23
deadline was 25/08/23
scan date 04/09/23
2 letters, 3 texts
got a phone call yesterday (well 3, managed to answer the 3rd one) it was the DM asking why my forms were received late. I was at work so didn’t have time to explain fully but I don’t think she will grant the back pay, she did say my decision would be made yesterday though!
I work full time so going to struggle to call them to request a statement of reasons for a MR if it’s anything below HRC which I believe he’s entitled to. Tried to ring yesterday, called at 15:56 and got cut off at 17:33 🤦‍♀️ can somebody else call up for you if they have the security answers or does it have to be the claim handler?
these threads have kept me sane since August!

Lolly966 · 13/01/2024 13:08

just seen on Facebook someone’s been awarded and her scan date was 23rd September, I thought they were doing august/beginning of sept atm?

i know I’ve got along wait ahead, forms scanned on the 20/11 and I’ve had 2 letters and no texts

Cjbabs1986 · 13/01/2024 13:12

Some good news! Scan date the 08/09 just had text to say approved not sure what rate but I am over the moon! Hope you all get the outcome you need! Don’t be set back for mr I had to do this with first child all I did was send anymore evidence I had wrote another intense letter and sent it off he was 12 at the time, then had a call from a lovely lady asked couple of questions and then told me she would make a decision and it was approved the same day! Does anyone know what rates they usually award adhd?

Margot82x · 13/01/2024 13:28
