DLA wait times part 26

Anxiously waiting, scan date 4/9.

@Keddie @Jneill2021 I called today as we are 7 weeks today and they said they are taking 7 weeks to get to DM so she said mine should be allocated this week or early next week so fingers crossed for a decision soon x

I'm starting to see people with my scan date or the day or two after mine be awarded now but I'm too nervous to call.

You have the same scan date as me. I called last night and was cut off and I did call earlier and was on hold 1hr 15
mins but had to go into school and pick the children up. I might call again in the morning.

Are people getting different wait times seen some 18 weeks some 7 weeks?

Currently on hold have been for about an hour now, anyone know if they just cut you off at 5? X

Been on hold 1 hr 30 mins so far doubt they will answer now is 4.50

Just got off the phone for update. Was awarded Tuesday LRM MRC until 2028.

Cried as I can’t believe it, was first time claim and the difference it will make to my little boy, first thing I planning is some private OT xxx

@Willowblake YES I got through was lovely ladie just had to get her write a note on both claims still saying taking 20 weeks new claims from date recieved it & renewal will get done the week its due to end so 23rd febuary for both claims should have a decision x

@Sarahdestiny ah fantastic, glad you managed to get through and was actually given some useful info! I just got cut off 🤣 currently at 23 weeks on a new claim, gonna try again at 9 tomorrow x

Did ring them today and was told 2pcs out of the 4 I sent in were scanned yesterday which I found odd as they were all sent in together and she put a note on saying I'd sent evidence in and been asking about it. Will phone again Monday and also resend the evidence just in case the other 2pcs have been lost x

Does anyone know if another parent live in another house can claim for Carer element for child who’s just been awarded DLA he cannot get CA as he earns too much but I’m pretty sure he could of got CE on UC as he has him 3 days a week I cannot get it as I already recieve it for my daughter

Our scan date is the 12/10. We received a letter in December stating 15 weeks for a decision but I can see that is rarely true.

Is it a case-by-case basis or are waiting times 20+ weeks by default?

It’s pretty much default at this point but a lot of claims are taking a lot longer x

Was on hold for an hour and 50 mins scan date 11/09 to be told that won't be till end of Jan mid Feb I said we'll September dates are being awarded he said not sure where ur getting ur Info from as no September dates have been done only rushed through of its a terminal claim. They tell u 100 different things

What a joke get more staff to clear the back log

Public services are underfunded across the board now. I imagine they probably don’t have the money to get more staff unfortunately.

8th Sept lovely, thing is my son is getting so much worse now and the months go by, his got asd, now threatening to h*rm himself. His 5, just want this over with now x

I was told end of Jan mid February my scan date is only a couple of days after urs. Its a joke when one persi. Says one thing and someone says another when I rang Monday he said shouldn't be much longer . Just wish they all knew what they were doing coz seems like they haven't got a clue

Scan date 30/08 (19 weeks). I’ve had money paid into my account from DWP DLA this morning. I think it works out MRC LRM backdated to when I called up for the forms. No text advising of award, just money paid into account. I did receive 3 x texts advising that my claim was being looked into though. I’ll await the letter in the post confirming the details rather than block the phone lines.

I’m so relieved I could cry and hope this gives hope to others with similar dates. This group has been a lifesaver in this unbelievably stressful journey thank you x

Im calling them now to see if there is any update although it hasn’t been 20 weeks… wish me luck…. Has everyone who’s put a claim in had a diagnosis?
