Continuing on from part 23 as it was getting full

Hi for those who been awarded and on universal credit, I had a message today to say that special circumstances so they will reward from the date dla took. So what next I need to wait for

Thanks hoping my son doesn't get declined aged 7 with suspected adhd and attachemnet issues . Been out of school for a year due them not being able to keep him safe only just got granted 1on 1 support in school. Awaiting ehcp and assessment. Also have a lady who will start coming in every morning in the new year to help getting him into school safely

Do they always contact the school? I’ve put our senco down if they do need to contact but she’s really rubbish if im honest and doesn’t reply to emails at the best of times so really hoping they don’t as it’ll delay even further. I’ve provided evidence of diagnosis and a few other bits x

Just had a call from DM because I had missed two questions, How soon after a call have people been awarded and was it by text?

I’ve just got the 3rd text as well. Scan date 5th sept. Hopefully we will hear by the end of January

Hi all, for anyone requesting a backdated UC disabled child element or carers element i requested mine a week ago and today rang for a update and the woman i spoke to put in a payment dispute on my behalf and the dms have 24hrs to look into it and get back to you iv just had a message from case manager (40 mins after i made the call) saying decision makers now looking at it and will have a answer by tomorrow and if sucsessful which they cant see why not then ill recieve back pay in 3-5 working days :)

Scan date 01/09, told not with DM yet and not to expect anything until mid Jan

My date is 27/09, and I'm mentally adding on a week because of Christmas

@Mumof6boys1girl I had a call, now I am anxiously waiting, she said I had missed two questions relating to whether I’d worked outside of Europe, and then said I would receive a letter once the decision had been made, she reckons it would be in between Xmas and the new year, but I’m not sure if that’s an award or a decline. Hopefully you will hear soon 🤞

@Momof2soonmomto3 i wish they would do that for me. I updated UC on 29th Nov it went to a DM on 6th and is still with them. They said they just can’t say how long it will take as it depends on the DM case load.

Anyone else having problems with UC? It’s been sent to a DM apparently but been sent a statement today and even though my partner is down as a carer now they’ve still taken his minimum income floor into account

Mines still with case manager. Has been since Friday 18 / 8 scan date . The wait is killing me x

@Momtothreeboys hello, sorry my scan date is 17/08 I rang and she was horrible told me I didn’t know my daughter name as she wasn’t coming up on the computer talked to me like I was stupid. She said it’s been allocated to a cm but waiting for them to look at it, I said ahh so it’s moved up as it was in holding Que she said no I’ve just said. So I really don’t understand could someone help me out?

just a bit of hope for others

my scan date was 14th Aug

today I received a text to say my son qualifies, I rang and they informed me my son has been awarded HRC LRM for two years
literally the only evidence I sent in what a letter from my neighbour (retired theatre nurse) who's known my son since birth

NO diagnosis for my son but I has attended an appoiment at the hospital for pediatric neurodisabilty school and family support worker suspect autism.

I've been reading these posts since Aug this year when I sent the claim back and you've all been a help mentally

one question- any back pay received (for me DLA AND UC) is the back pay disregarded for a year? or will it count as savings straight away? thank you

Had Carers Allowance Declined due to earning to much in the last year.

Also had my special circumstances for UC backpay rejected and didn't get the back pay - no reason given.

Oh well, we can manage with me dropping hours still and I won't be expected to seek more.

I’m 13/9 not had second tx 1st tx 21/11 that’s it lol

It's weird as they only sent me the second text on 5th December and 3rd one today I received the first one in November. So strange h9w I've gotten the last 2 so close together
