@Mamof31 hi lovely I’m sorry to hear this, I’m in the same situation with my son it’s such a worry and so difficult my son is only 8. my scan date is the 31/8

Hi all congratulations to all that have been awarded, my scan date is 7/8 I’m getting so anxious now I just want to know, I’m so worried for a decline, please keep fingers crossed for me, good luck to everyone x

@Rebeccanew hi hun have they still not sorted it then. Mine was the same as yours 5 months of hrc on the disabled element and I worked it out as £2284.45 and that's what they paid. So if that isn't what you was awarded I would send another message and explain its high rate care you was awarded not middle maybe if they have not paid the correct amount.

Hi @Amy92x nope iv left a message and called this morning they just don’t grasp what I’m trying to say on the phone but I left message see what they say…I mean they said my award goes back to march 2022 on the letter that’s clearly wrong as it was June 2023 and it was 1,70 backdate I think that’s wrong also…I mean imagine if my award was from march 2022 that would be some backpay lol….iv just been double questioning myself see if I am wrong..but I can’t be wrong! Your amount seems more to what I think should of been owed too hun xxxxx

@Helenmummyof3 Thankyou! I know it’s awful isnt it, my sons 13 been going on over a year now. He was bullied at school which has caused this anxiety, he’s been self harming and not in a good place for a long time, which is awful when I look back how confident he once was. He dsnt sleep on a night and camhs are a waste of time don’t help one bit.

@Velaris92 hi yeah it’s still with the DM tomorrow it will be a week that it’s been with a DM. I definitely think it will be a decline

@Maxine92 hopefully not. Mine was with them for a week and got MRC. I was expecting a decline as well because I didn’t write anything on the extra information bit. My mind goes blank when I’m doing paperwork 😬

@Mamof31 aww lovey it is awful I feel your pain, my sons been like this for a year when we lost my mum last October his anxiety set in he doesn’t sleep hardly eats as he thinks he will be sick, we won’t go to school he won’t leave my side he’s to scared that one of us will die. at my wits end with it and I look at him and and think he’s so young to be worried about things like this. Camhs are a waste of space I know they have a huge waiting list but that doesn’t help the children that need help 🤞 we hear something soon x

@Kelseeyx i did the change of circumstances, child, date claim awarded from etc. Then a note on the journal saying- (child )has now been awarded dla -(rate). Please can this be sent to a decision maker for the disabled child element (monthly amount depending on rate) to be backdated to (date) . Also can this please be added to my monthly statements going forward. Thank you and have a nice day

@Maxine92 remember you might not get a text either. I didn’t but I’ve had 2 texts before. Looks like it was awarded Friday because they said it should be paid tomorrow

@Mumoflittlegirlepilepsy omg, omg, omg!!!!! I've just had THE text to say my Son qualifies 🥹🥹🥹. I am so so happy, the relief and wait is finally over. I don't know the rate etc, just on hold now but to be honest, as long as he is getting something, that will help him so so much 🩵. I can finally pay for 1-1 physio swimming lessons for him ☺️.

It's taken so long, scan date 21/07. It sound as though the CM had not fully finalised the paperwork before they made the decision. Only through calling so much have we got an answer today. Don't give up guys. I have everything crossed that you all get the best outcomes. Sending lots of positivity ✨️ 💛 xx
