@MangoPepsiLover good luck chic xxx

MinnieL · 21/11/2023 14:20

@Sskanf in the letter you received, it says how much they’ve paid you vs what they should have paid you. If they’ve paid you £1554 already then it’ll state how much was missing and how much the backpay will be.

It’ll take 3-5 working days to receive the backpay now that you’ve received this letter on your journal

Mines with a decision maker, was sent on Friday, they've said next week for a decision.

Really nice man but I'm not assured, I still think it'll be a decline. I wish I just knew

@MammyAng84 What scan date are you?

MammyAng84 · 21/11/2023 14:28

20th july

Sskanf · 21/11/2023 14:29

@MinnieL I've just phoned them and have been told that they owe only the disability element of £700 for now, the £1554 calculated is previous UC apparently, I need to update I'm also a carer to receive the element backdated. Would you know what date I need to put for when I became a carer?

MangoPepsiLover · 21/11/2023 14:32

MammyAng84 · 21/11/2023 14:28

These wait times are crazy. My sons first dla claim three years ago took 2 weeks and my daughters claim made six years ago took 6 days! This is madness

Same! My DS’s first claim in 2017 took about 6 weeks and then his renewal last year about 4 weeks!

Currently claiming for my DD and we will definitely be waiting until January I think. The wait times are ridiculous now. Why are they so bad now?!

MinnieL · 21/11/2023 14:33

@Sskanf it needs to be the date that the DLA award started. So the same date you used when doing a COC for the disabled child element.

Ideally, you’d make the changes for both elements and ask them to backpay both elements at the same time. That way it’s all done in one go and you won’t have to go through the whole waiting process again

Singleton7 · 21/11/2023 14:36

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster,
Scan date 19/7
Last text 16/10
Called today, on hold for 1hour 20mins but well worth it, wasent going to call until I saw some of my dates being awarded,
HR care LR mobility, hope this helps all u lovely parents still waiting for a decision, has been along hideous wait .
Congratulations to all awarded today and best of luck to all u people having to do an MR , I really hope your little ones get what they deserve .

MinnieL · 21/11/2023 14:36

@funinthesun19 I think there’s just WAY more people putting in a claim for DLA than there has been in the past! A few years ago, my friends claim took 4 weeks. I couldn’t even imagine that happening now lol. You’re lucky if you hear within 4 months🫠

Mammyzzzzz · 21/11/2023 14:37

My scan date is 27/7
Last text 23/10

I called last week they told me I wouldn't hear until middle of December the lady who took the call was also quite rude.

MangoPepsiLover · 21/11/2023 14:38
