Keddie · 16/11/2023 10:42

@Sskanf cant get through keep getting cut off, anyone else on hold? whats the current wait time over an hr? xx

Sskanf · 16/11/2023 10:45

@Keddie that kept happening to me I waited 10 minutes and tried again got through then. The wait was 1hr 20 mins

@Rebeccanew if you find out how to update UC please let me know xx

Jude82 · 16/11/2023 10:46

@Sskanf I really hope it’s in the next couple of days. Lady this morning said it may be decided by the end of this week but then it may not be and then she backtracked and said she couldn’t give any timescales once it was with DM. I’m 27/07, txt dates 02/10 and 23/10

Billie1993 · 16/11/2023 10:46

@Rebeccanew & @Sskanf OMG see guys I new today was your day to find out and get the good news you both deserve I am so happy for you both 🩷 now just waiting on @Pumpkins3 & @Keddie 🩷

@Rebeccanew & @Sskanf in regards to UC I don’t know much about the carers element part I’m sure someone on here elxained it to @Tmxx a little further up, but in regards to the disability child element all you have to do is go onto UC report change of circumstances, go to child click on the child you would like to report a change to and then add that they’re in receipt of DLA and what one they’re in receipt of and then once you’ve done that go onto your journal to add a note put one to your work coach telling them that you applied for DLA on “date” and it was received on “date” it was accepted on “date” it was started from “date” and then do another one on payments something similar but stating that you would like it backdated from your award date and that you’ve only just found out that your child had been awarded make sure you state that you want it back dated to the specific date.

i don’t know if this helps at all that’s just what I did xx

Mojo161989 · 16/11/2023 10:46

Tmxx · 16/11/2023 10:49

@Sskanf congratulations hun xxx @Rebeccanew yes once I knew award rate and backdated date I told them straight away and updated uc! I have this copied from the Facebook page in my notes on my phone so this is how you do it guys for uc xxx

When doing these changes then use the date dla have awarded from and not the date you’ve received payment.

If child has been getting dla for a while then adjust the reasons on the note you’ll leave to uc.

BoyGirlMomxox · 16/11/2023 10:51

Congratulations @Rebeccanew @Sskanf and anyone I've missed. Very pleased for you finally have good outcomes 😌

@Mummyto2beautifulangeltwins can't believe you've been awarded with scan date 27/10? Goo you that's quite unheard of hehe x

Keddie · 16/11/2023 10:52

@Sskanf @Rebeccanew on hold now sh**ting myself xx

Jude82 · 16/11/2023 10:52

Just going to say aswell and this could be a complete coincidence but I turned my wifi off today when I called so as to call using 4G…and for the first time this week I got through. The reason I did that was because I just couldn’t understand why I kept getting cut off once I was actually in the Q. Sometimes it was after 10 mins, sometimes 30, 40, 50 mins+ and the line would just go dead. I know it’s the DLA phone line that is super busy and so they cut you off a lot when you first get through the automated message and you get that annoying dial tone as they cannot place you in a Q that’s too full etc but if anyone if getting cut off later than that when you are on hold them I do recommend turning off your wifi calling as that may have been why atleast some of the time the line was dropping out on me.

@Sskanf @Rebeccanew on hold now sh**ting myself xx

Good luck @Keddie I think you’re the same scan date as me 🤞🏻 x

Billie1993 · 16/11/2023 10:56

good luck @Keddie my fingers are crossed for you. You’ve got this hun 🩷🤞🏻

Jude82 · 16/11/2023 10:59

@Mummyto2beautifulangeltwins Congratulations! 👏🏻 scan date 27/10? Is that right? Or do you mean 27/07? Crazy if late October has been awarded before July, Aug, Sept…so pleased for you but yeah that means there really is no consistency in any of their process for the rest of us. Nothing surprises me mind! 😆

Binks90 · 16/11/2023 11:00

After 1hr 25 mins on hold the person I spoke to said it was allocated to a dission maker yesterday and can take up to a week fingers crossed its a positive outcome, scan date 17/07

Rebeccanew · 16/11/2023 11:02

Good luck @Keddie ❤️ Thankyou girls for all your support also yous have kept me sane xxxxx

Mummyof5kiddos · 16/11/2023 11:08

@Binks90 yay that means there finally getting to our week

MammyAng84 · 16/11/2023 11:09

I think it has to b 27/07 as that’s not even 3 weeks & the minimum we have all been told is 15 weeks but like u say they do what they want & say different things xx

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:15

For anyone who wanted to claim carers allowance I just thought I'd pop a message on. I applied last Thursday and received 18 weeks backpay today. Obviously this is taken £-£ on UC but for me will work out better in managing money. Because of the backpay it means I will have been overpaid by UC for the last few months. They do not take the whole amount from your next UC payment and will arrange a payment plan with you. This is just for anyone who is thinking of applying. It took exactly a week from filling the form out online and was simple and easy. Well done to all awards and good luck to everyone waiting xx

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:17

@Asdmummyhere I was tempted to claim carers allowance as they might be quicker than UC at backdating! But not sure what to do.

@Sockbabies brilliant so glad they’ve sorted it for you. ❤️ x

Asdmummyhere · 16/11/2023 11:21

@Mummyrach13 i had been thinking about it before getting awarded. A weekly amount is much more manageable for me so I went ahead. I've put another message on my journal today about the backpay so will let u know if I hear anything xx

Mummyrach13 · 16/11/2023 11:21

@Asdmummyhere I seen online it says they will backdate 3 months? But you got 18 weeks? We were awarded 22 weeks ago so not sure they would backdate that now x
