@Mummyrach13 thank you lovely. I always said it wasn't about the money but since applying my boy has gotten worse and he really needs a safe space at bedtime. The beds are so expensive it's simply impossible for me to get one. I've had to take my bed down and sleeping on just the mattress because he was climbing on everything, falling off the bed on purpose and laughing until he ended up in hospital with a fractured leg. I have an empty room waiting for him just need all the safe furniture in there for him xx

I only waited 20 minutes this morning but I also believe some people have waited a lot longer first thing too. I don't think anyone has managed to get through any other time quite quickly, seems more people get cut off later in the afternoon xx

Have you looked at family fund? I don’t know much about it but I seen someone was given £1000 towards a safety bed for their child. X

@Asdmummyhere that's my worry, it happened to me a few weeks ago too and was so frustrating.
I think you're the same date as us (6/7). I hope we get news soon!

Hi, Yes my scan date is 21/09 so not much before yours. These threads have been so useful! A long wait ahead of us though 😫

My scan date is 29/9 but originally rang for forms in July which never turned up so had to wait then request again. They have said that if we are awarded, they will backdate to July though.

Not far infront then lol and yes i find these very usefull & yes very long wait for us 😔 hopefully we dont have to eait to long and things speed up lol x

I'm reapplying for my daughter, does anyone know what the lead time is for renewals?!

Does anyone know if we can phone up and ask to leave extra info on the call to write on notes ect as I sent extra info for next day delivery and they do have them but was told will be in a pile, I'm worrying they may not receive in time, tbf I'm only 17 weeks on Thurs so they may get them especially if it takes longer than the 18 weeks, I think I'd prefer the dm to call me as I feel its extremely hard to write down everything, I may just be over thinking tbh as this is my 1st time applying for my 13yr old, she is not yet diagnosed as unfortunately juniors did not pick up on her traits until year 5 and 6 and I have always known but wanted to see how she grew with each year, she has autism traits, complex needs, ocd, dyslexia and more, cams is due this dec/Jan time been a long wait on that, this thread is so helpful 😊

Hi, just after a little help really if anyone can please.
I never received a letter to tell me a scan date however sent my forms back 24/7 recorded so saw they were delivered on the 25/7. Would the 25/7 be my scan date would anyone know?
I have received 2 texts 2/10 and 23/10.
Just worrying as if my son is awarded the date the forms had to be back by were the 26/7 so they may not backdate to when I called for the forms even though I sent it just before the date they said it had to be back.

@Mummyrach13 yes I've heard of it but assumed you needed a diagnosis or receiving dla which up to now neither. I really hoping for good news but the wait is awful xx

The system is terrible honestly. It shouldn't take so long on the phone never mind the actual process. Yes I'm 6/7 and was with a dm this morning. I'm going to call Thursday now at 18 weeks xx

Hi, I would phone them if you never received a letter as scan date is not the same as the received date, they could have received then sat in a pile for a while until opened, but I'm sure that they will know that you sent the forms back in time so I think you will be backdated to July if awarded x

I sent my forms off on the 28/07 and phoned on the 10/08 as hadn’t heard anything and spoke to a lovely lady who scanned them on over the phone for me
she also said to expect a decision around the 14/12 I gave her some new info over the phone that she put in the computer as notes

@Thenoseymother @RainbowZebraWarrior closest scan dates I've seen to me. When you start getting decisions then I'll know I'm moving up the queue. Can't imagine how people feel with waits from June and July goodness me x

You have the same text dates a sme and my scan date is 27/7 so sounds like your around the same time.

It's taken so long ... actually driving me insane ... I had a sen meeting for my little guy today 5yrs diagnosed with autism by school and many professionals they have advised I put him in a additional needs school today as hes really struggling with mainstream school .. shall I inform dla on this? Even tho its a very long wait list for this school?

Oh my god 17 weeks today and honestly the wait has been horrendous but these last couple days it has been consuming my life all I do is check on here constantly 🤣
