@Mommaof2babas no lol has already recieved hrc but put in for mobility he got awarded lrm yesterday but when I've checked under the smi I'm quite confident he should have got hrm I'm just really hoping a Mr will change the decision as we are awaiting a place at a school just for children with autism but there over an hour away from where we live and public transport is a no go with son xxx

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 11:38

@Jneill2021 awh okay glad you got awarded and definitely if you believe your boy is eligible then definitely fight it and awh I hope yous get the place for him! And I completely get what you mean about public transport my boy is the same anywhere where there's potentially alot of people is a complete no go for us!

Mummyrach13 · 10/11/2023 11:43

@Jude82, @Amy92x one call handler told me it would be end of Nov when I phoned in October which would have made it over 23 weeks. I was Like wow but I and most are awarded at the minute on the 18th week so don’t panic! I think some over exaggerate the wait to stop people calling back! You will hear soon.

well done ladies with awards ❤️ xx

Mumofasd3 · 10/11/2023 11:44

@Mommaof2babas Yeah Google only helps so much doesn’t it when they just quote guidance as an answer. It’s like ok but what does that mean for us though? Even on the phone when they say it’s with DM or whatever, the lay person calling in doesn’t know the inner workings or the job titles and roles of DWP employees!? Or the process? It’s forums like this that help so much with that. I’ve learnt so much from everyone else experiences on here. It’s great. I don’t know what a ‘simple’ case would be either mind, maybe just something a CM knows will hit their criteria for a certain level of DLA 100% with no subjectivity? And so they can award it within their remit? So hospital letter showing hearing loss/Asthma could fall in that category maybe. Who knows. But it sounds like you have sent lots of good supporting evidence in to support all aspects of your claim and so hopefully it will be awarded very soon for you 🙏🏻

Has anyone ever had award texts on weekends is that a thing or? Xxxxx

Have you seen the SMI flowchart? Your child will need to tick every single box on the SMI flowchart and have evidence to back up each point. Even if they meet all points except for one then they won’t be awarded. If you have all the evidence and your child meets every single point then fight it all the way, even if you have to go to tribunal

Mumofasd3 · 10/11/2023 12:20

40 mins and counting

househead13 · 10/11/2023 12:21

@Xsam1985x Hey lovely. I know they’re all different but just wanted to share my little lad was non verbal until 5 months ago. Couldn’t say a thing and now 5 months on he’s saying 2/3 word sentences and I never thought he would talk. He’s 3 years 7 months. Good luck, hope you get your award soon!

Helentwinsplus1 · 10/11/2023 12:24

Been on hold 1 hour 30 so far

Mumofasd3 · 10/11/2023 12:26

Its a nightmare isnt it!

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 12:30

@Jude82 I completely get where your coming from, if I didn't find this forum I wouldn't of even known about a dm or cm? This group has helped in so many ways! Good luck to you too!!

Clairexdx · 10/11/2023 12:37

Can they call from a mobile number? Missed a call and tried to call back but it’s saying number not recognised? Very strange.
the unknown number I had this morning I know who that was x

@househead13 Aww that's amazing and lovely to hear, my little one does say some words (in his own way) but its only words of interest (Copy's songs/animal names etc) but he's still classed as non verbal according to his portage worker/SALT as he doesn't use words in any context or to communicate with us in any way. I think it may come though even if its through single/few word sentences as you said, he is only 3 next month. Thank you, I m going to try to call this afternoon

Sskanf · 10/11/2023 12:45

Did you manage to call today. How long have u been told to wait, my scan dates 12/7 was told few days ago to wait till the end of the month to call!
I had a random mobile number call phoned back and was marketing life insurance call!

Sskanf · 10/11/2023 12:46

Sounds similar to my 3 years and 9 month old, he can only count to 15, say colours and mummy daddy. He's still classed as non verbal as he is unable to follow instructions or communicate his needs. If he's hungry he will bring me his plate and say eat

Mumofasd3 · 10/11/2023 12:55

Just spoke to a really lovely lady who has said its with a CM now so should hear within a couple of weeks! So fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Scan date 27/7
Last txt 23/10

Rebeccanew · 10/11/2023 12:57

Not seeing many awards today! Is that a the last pile done?? Hopefully they picking the next pile up good luck everyone xxxx

Sskanf · 10/11/2023 13:02

What scan date are you? I don't think there's been many awards. Someone with scan date 12/07 is with a cm I read somewhere in the thread

JJO15 · 10/11/2023 13:03

my scan date is 1/8. I first applied on 13th June and they didn’t receive my forms in time 🤦🏻‍♀️
I phoned a couple of weeks ago to check they had received extra evidences. The lady I spoke to said I should hear in the first week of December.

I really hope the wait times haven’t increased until January but I guess lots of people are getting bugs and covid etc that they may become shorter staffed and more behind 😩

The wait is torture.

Rebeccanew · 10/11/2023 13:17

I’m 10/7
urghhh the wait is torture 😂
knowing my luck I’ll be at the bottom the pile xxxxx

Tammie23 · 10/11/2023 13:30

@Clairexdx I've had a phone call off a mobile number didn't answer and when I ring back same as you

crazytimes20 · 10/11/2023 13:35

@Mumofasd3 my scan date is 25/7. Hoping mine won't be loads longer then. I've worked out end of November as that's 18 weeks. Fingers crossed we hear soon.
