@househead13 are you still on hold? X

Xsam1985x · 10/11/2023 10:38

Waiting from 07/07 scan date so 18 weeks today, have held off calling up to now but not sure if I should or just wait until Monday/Tuesday and see if we hear anything, the wait these last few days has been awful just want to know either way lol x

Mummyof5kiddos · 10/11/2023 10:42

@Hardingcl it sounds like your claim is very similar to mine, but ive only sent cahms referral with my form he shows obvious signs of adhd, anxiety maybe some asd, dyslexia and waiting on speech therapy still, my ep report is going the be here 2-3 weeks so probably won’t be back in time to send in

Melliee · 10/11/2023 10:42

@Cheesywiggles
I’m still waiting from 5/7
Was told its with a dm today
good luck!!

Hardingcl · 10/11/2023 10:47

@Mummyof5kiddos I didn't send any evidence in with the form. Then I called up and spoke to a guy and told him what evidence I could get as in the ieps. He said well iep school reports are very good evidence. So I sent them in.
I'm praying it's enough! But if not I'm thinking at least I will more to send for MR. Hopefully this time next week we will have our decision!

Amy92x · 10/11/2023 10:50

Scan date 28/7

Just got off the phone spoke to a lovely lady who said its taking 19weeks and should go to a dm on the 8th of December keep in mind it's Christmas so if I haven't heard by JANUARY to give them a call 😩 this wait is absolutely insane. I was told a few weeks back I should have a decision on the 27th if November they honestly keep moving the goal post at this point.

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 10:52

Scan date 12.07
Just got of the phone they said my claim is with a case manager and I could receive a text anytime from now said it shouldn't be any later then Tuesday! After holding for 1 hour 20 they answered! I finally feel like we're getting somewhere!

househead13 · 10/11/2023 10:52

Woohooo the wait is over, my 3 year old boy got awarded MRC 2 days ago. He was awarded for autism and developmental delay. Had no text btw so I defo would keep ringing. My scan date was 7/7 x

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 10:54

Awh congratulations @househead13 I'm so pleased for you! Mine has just gone to a case manger this morning!! X

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 10:54

@Amy92x OMG that’s insane!! 😭 I am day before you 27/07 and this is not ok! January!! 😤 ffs! I was told last week of November originally too and even that is way over 15 WEEKS!

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 10:55

Does anyone know if a case manager and Decision maker are they same thing?

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 10:56

Congrats @househead13 brilliant news! 👏🏻

Amazing news congratulations, I think I may try to call as we are the same scan date as you for my non-verbal little boy who is nearly 3, with suspected ASD and Development delay x

@Melliee glad it's not just me 👋 Thank you and good luck to you too ☺️ 🤞 We both hear soon! I don't know if it's just me but Everytime my phone goes off my heart is in my mouth 🤣 I know a lot of people don't even get texts after a decision! This long wait has driven me crazy 🤣

Amy92x · 10/11/2023 10:59

@Jude82 it's so crazy I'm sure everyone is just saying whatever at this point! But January is absolutely insane! I'm really hoping it will be the 27th of November then are be 17wks 3days.. wishful thinking 😩

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 10:59

@Mommaof2babas
Benefit guidance website says this:
Case Managers are a lower grade than Decision Makers and are usually only trained to make PIP Decisions whereas a DM may have experience of other benefits and would also be responsible for making eligibility Decisions as well as entitlement ones. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 11:02

@Amy92x I am praying that it cannot go on until January! I mean that would be 23 weeks! Christmas or not …that is ridiculous and so unfair.

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 11:02

@Jude82 thank you for looking it up, I had a look my self but got very confused and I'm still confused😂 so im now concerned as I don't know what to think now🤦‍♀️

Melliee · 10/11/2023 11:06

@Cheesywiggles
i know exactly what you mean
I spoke to them yesterday they told me at the end of November so I called today to complain and was told it’s with a dm I also asked to receive a text she said she would put it on the notes so just playing the waiting game now got my phone on stand by just incase I get a call!! Lol

@Melliee I'm not surprised you were going to complain! Really good that it's now with a dm though! I asked that but the lady I spoke to just said no we don't do that , you will receive a letter in the post when the decision is made 🙈 I did tick the box on the form about text updates though so 🤷🏻‍♀️ we shall see lol I'm the same with the phone lol keep thinking I hope they don't call me at a time when I can't answer 🤣 it's all just so stressful!!

Jude82 · 10/11/2023 11:15

@Mommaof2babas It’s as clear as mud isn’t it! I am assuming and taking it from the small amount I’ve read that case managers are a grade lower training wise and so they do full PIP as a stand-alone benefit and they also do all of the admin and phone calls and they are allowed to make ‘simple’ decisions as DWP call them with regards to other benefits they know less about like child DLA….they will and they can (if it’s within their guidance) award ‘simple’ claims but any that require more understanding of the child DLA requirements go off to a decision maker. I’m assuming when DM gets such cases all of the prep and admin has been done for them and so they can assess the final part. If that makes sense?

Jneill2021 · 10/11/2023 11:16

Anyone no time frames for a Mr? Xx

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 11:29

@Jude82 ah right I get what you mean now! You've explained it so much better then the Internet does😂 as for a simple claim I wouldn't know if mine is to be honest for my son adhd, asd, social and communication difficulties, severe astma and mild hearing loss, I sent in all his hospital letters for his astma and his hearing loss, his speech and language reports, school support plans, letters from his teachers, his pathway letters and acceptance letters and all his medical records?

Mommaof2babas · 10/11/2023 11:30

@Jneill2021 please don't say you got declined after your 25 week wait! I really hope you didn't! I think I read that MR is taking around 4 weeks!

Rosegoldsunshine88 · 10/11/2023 11:33

Congratulations to all the awards today and those who know it’s with a DM good luck, I think I am going to leave calling now till next thurs as on 3 separate occasions I have been told the same thing, good luck everyone for over the weekend I hope we all hear very soon xx
