@Tmxx @Rebeccanew oh maybe I never thought about that. I'll be climbing the walls if there's no decision this week. My last text was 02/10 so 5 weeks today. What were yours? I'm going to try and hold out I think. Will probably call Thursday at 18 weeks if not heard anything xx

@Asdmummyhere here my second text was 9/10 that's what's making me think you guys are this week and I am next although only a day behind Rebeccanew! Xx

@Rebeccanew I'm thinking of ringing Thursday as I csnt ring friday but I know its still pointless as not 5 weeks after second text until Monday, and I'm 18 weeks Tuesday! So I highly doubt anything before them 2 days! Xx

You are the exact same as me, 18 weeks on Thursday and 2nd text on 02/10.

I rang today and mine isn't even with the DM. I'm hoping it gets awarded on Thursday

@TheClassicCollection I called last Thursday to check if they had received extra evidence and was told it won't be allocated for another 2 weeks. Going by everyone on here they seem to be awarded by 18 weeks, I'll keep u posted xx

First ever post here! My 2.5 year old was awarded today after 17 weeks. Scan date 5/7, just had a text this morning. What happens next? Good luck to all those still waiting ❤️

Congratulations lovely. If your on UC don't forget to update your claim. You can call to get rates etc or wait until you receive your letter xx

You need the rate to update hun as that determines what rate of disability you get from them. Also u can apply for carers element but I'm not sure if everyone can get that. I'd call dla at 9 in the morning if you have time and find out what you've been awarded. Once you've done your UC leave a note on there to your work coach or on payments and ask for it to be backdated xx

@Tmxx @Asdmummyhere i think the 5 week text may not work as much now as iv always been told 18 weeks but from today iv been told 17 weeks so it looks like it’s coming down a week the wait time hopefully we all here by the end this week remember decision makers work weekends too so could go to them for a decision Monday xxxxxxxx

I sent in loads of evidence (ehcp, he has 1:1 at school, salt assessments, diagnosis letter etc) but not sure what they usually award for adhd and learning disability? I’ve put off claiming for a long time. Has anyone claimed successfully for adhd and LD before?

@Mummyrach13 I know will be 2 weeks this week since it went to dm apprantley for UC backdate. Wonder whether it will be sorted this side of Christmas 🤔 luckily I'm not relying on anything I've done my child's stuff she needs after receiving her dla backpay and I finished christmas 2 months ago. Had to get it done cause this baby is due to close to Christmas for me to leave anything till last minute 🤣 xx he confirmed uc had verified my children and their dla rates and element will be added to future statements even if backpay hasn't been sorted so at least that's a plus! Xx

Aww how exciting @Mumto2sengirlsxx what is your due date? I seen someone earlier waiting since august for backpay. I haven’t heard anything from them so not even sure if they have verified the elements to go on my next statement. Xx

I’ll be calling Wednesday then Friday…unless I see a award around my date I’ll call straight up…I found by looking and on other threads more awards/declines seem to be Tuesday and Wednesdays so good luck girls xxxxxxx

@PinkMoscatoLover this is the letter I received today. Should there be more info? I got one for carers element and the disabled child element. That read exactly the same.

I think we should have 3-4 left to wait…hoping sooner rather than later 🤞

@BoyMumGirlMum2022 ah I see, this is the first letter just letting you know that the DM has accepted the COC despite it being reported outside of your assessment period.

What happens next is the DM will go through your previous payments and work out how much you were paid vs how much you should have got including the disabled child element and carers element. You’ll then get another letter on your journal informing you on how much the backpay will be. The payment will take 3-5 working days to arrive into your account from when you receive the second letter.

So it’s more waiting but the good news is, is that it’s on the DMs radar and hopefully they can calculate the backpay sooner rather than later. I can’t give you a time frame for how long it’ll take but hopefully it won’t be long🤞🏾

@PinkMoscatoLover oh, this is just ridiculous.
I will be chasing them twice a week then. As this waiting is just beyond stressful.
I was hoping there'd be a rough time frame from first to second letter. After waiting last year for dla then to be declined then to have to go through it all again this year and now have this wait too. My stress and anxiety is through the roof.

I was awarded for my daughter on friday, when can I expect the back pay to hit my bank? Anyone had it in 3 working days before, which should be tomorrow for me xx

Mine was 3 working days @Loopy2406 i was awarded Tuesday last week and it was in the Friday x
