@RMNofTikTok bloody hell 🤣 take the mick don't they!! What award have you been awarded for dla if you don't mind me asking? Sounds like HRC from what you've worked out but I swore I worked our like £2300ish backpay for mine. But I'll have to wait and see whenever it decides to hit My bank account im hoping tonight 🤞 xxx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 30/10/2023 21:15

@Mummyrach13 oh I know hun, my heart was racing whenever I called being on hold for so long actually kept me calm 😅 and I was the same at the start of the year for my eldest application, I remember the woman saying there is a decision then she went quiet and I felt like I couldn't breathe cause I didn't think she would be approved either... but when I called for my youngest the woman obviously wanted me off the phone cause it literally went like this "let me look... she has HRC and LRM backdated to 24th June thank you bye" 😅 I just let out this huge sigh... if she was declined I would of cried and been so down but then after the next day I would of picked myself up and fought for it you know you have got this no matter which way it goes! But from following your story even I would be shocked if you got a decline hun xxx

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 21:18

Thank you so much @Mumto2sengirlsxx you’ve kept me going these last few weeks! Suppose lts better I find out either way! I don’t think I will sleep at all tonight. I know he 100% deserves it but it’s wether the information was enough to prove it. We shall see 🤞 xx

Evening all. Massive congratulations to all those who’ve been awarded today!! I can’t believe our dates are actually here. I haven’t been able to call today as not enough time in work but I’m hoping I’ve got a couple hrs free in the afternoon tomorrow I can call. 29/06 scan date xx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 30/10/2023 21:24

@Mummyrach13 aw bless you! You've kept me going! Lmao.. everyone is different whereas I'm one of those people who don't want the bad answers but I have to know because it messes with my head to much which ends up affecting everyone around me 😅 it's easy for me to tell you to call because I've had my award but your just gonna send yourself crazy, you never know... you could of been awarded the same day as me and be due payment any day now (which would be a lovely surprise but I hate suprises) 🤣 I knew my little girl was eligible for HRC because of the physio, and special cutlery she has to use, floor bed etc because her joints are at too much risk but after reading some people's stories about how to get HRC I was convinced she wouldn't get it but I was surprised to find she did... so in really hoping you get a shock tomorrow finding out your awarded 🥰 literally been telling my partner about you and were both praying you get what you deserve xxx

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 30/10/2023 21:26

@Clazamumof2girls good luck hun! Hope they have good answers for you xxx

Mumofthree003 · 30/10/2023 21:36

Ive seen a few people with the same scan date 29/06. I didn’t manage to call today, have many around the same date had any news yet

Tmxx · 30/10/2023 21:48

4LittleFirecrackers · 30/10/2023 19:36

@Tmxx 😭 oh I hope so, on top of looking after our children it’s just one thing too much! I hope yours comes through soon with good news.
My DC2 was declined years ago for ASD masked at school but horrendous meltdowns etc Anywhere but at school. I didn’t even know what an MR was and just accepted it at face value, DC3 who I’m claiming for now is a physical disability rather than ASD but I can just feel this going the same way 😥

My boy is also a physical disability but I've read so many people declined as there little ones were young and apparently they are really harsh as all babies need a lot of care and I applied when my boy was 7 months so I'm not holding my breath! I know how you feel with feeling like it's only going to go one way! I feel exactly the same 😪 if it does honestly I'm done with this whole process cannot do a mr and wait another 4 weeks! Xx

Courtneymxo · 30/10/2023 21:52

I've seen no 30/6 being awarded, not sure if to to ring tomorrow or not, she told me on phone on Wednesday it would be the second week in November but can't really see that happening if people are being awarded from the 29/6 x

4LittleFirecrackers · 30/10/2023 22:00

@Tmxx ive seen that too re babies. All babies do take a lot of care but those with disabilities need all the usual baby cares plus the extra care due to their disability so not sure I understand why the DLA would be strict, age shouldn’t have anything to do with it. My son is 14 so right at the other end of the age scale x

@Courtneymxo im 30th June, rang today and they’re going to decision maker this week 😌

Hi all long time reader first time posting.

Scan date is 27/7

I called today to ask if there was any update and if it was worth me sending a few extra pieces of information or not. I was told I will have a decision on the 27th of November as dla have now decided to give everyone who calls the exact date they should get the decision to make life easier apparently ( there words) just seemed odd to me 🤷‍♀️. Congratulations on everyone who has been awarded and good luck to us all still waiting I'm starting to lose the plot I think lol.

I'm the same scan date as you I phoned today and was just told that It is taking 17 and half weeks I'll have a decision last week in November she didnt give an exact date.

High rate care low rate mobility from 18/05, they told me £2910 on the phone today 😁

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 22:16

Hey all just a quick question ! I’m very impatient ! 😂 I called this morning and it went to a DM , do you think it’s worth calling tomorrow morning or mid day / early afternoon or am I better off holding out till Thursday ish?! 😩 I just want it to be over with now like even if i go for MR if need be I just wanna get through the last stages as soon as possible I hate that this is a constant thing on my mind you know ! What’s everyone’s recommendations? Honesty is the best policy 😂❤️X

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 22:17

Also do they have record on the screen in front of them for every time you’ve called ? 😂 because if they see I’ve been a pester it will put me off calling full stop till I get a letter 😂?? X

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 30/10/2023 22:20

@LGR004 I'd call because I'm inpatient haha and when my eldest had her award she went to a dm and by 10am I had the decision, they can be pretty quick. With my youngest application round this time, I called Wednesday and was told 2nd week of November, then saw people with my scan date being awarded so I called Thursday afternoon again and the application already had a decision made on it so its worth chasing it up, always makes the wait more anxious when you know its with a DM 🤣 xx they can see when you call but but if none of us called they wouldn't have a job so don't let it bother you xx

Amy92x · 30/10/2023 22:21

@Vikz37 yes I was abit confused with the exact date given. So i asked and was told there giving people the exact date to expect there decision so It stops all the calling for an update.. the countdown continues.

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 22:27

@Mumto2sengirlsxx oh wow so it was pretty quick for you! That’s great! & Well in that case there’s no harm in trying to find out ! 😂 if I pester them so much they might hurry along the process to get rid of me quicker 😂😂! Suppose I’ll give them a ring mid day ish early afternoon, gives it a bit extra time incase the case worker does it in the morning .. I was thinking to myself earlier if I call again tomorrow after I’ve called today and the same blokes voice comes on to answer the call I’ll be cutting it straight off 😂 if it’s a lady I’ll feel fine 😂xx

Courtneymxo · 30/10/2023 22:27

@4LittleFirecrackers dont know whether to leave it toll at least Thursday then, x

Call exactly 5 weeks after your last text message

Mummyrach13 · 30/10/2023 22:29

@4LittleFirecrackers my boy is 13 next month so the other end of the age scale too and the worst thing I could have done tonight is read the fb group of Declines with older children.

@Mumto2sengirlsxx sent you a PM x

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 22:30

@RMNofTikTok i did! todays 5 weeks and went to a DM this morning! That’s why I’m curious as to weather to call mid afternoon or not to see if a decision has been made or will have been made but I feel I’m being to impatient! Wonder how many assessments get sent to a case worker a day??? Hmm I don’t know I think I’ll give a call mid day ish if I can get through see if there’s an update , I’m 18 weeks on Thursday and 5 weeks from last text today ! 29/06 x

Mumto2sengirlsxx · 30/10/2023 22:38

@LGR004 I'd say call about 1-2ish sometimes dms can take a while but both of mine were quick I got very lucky hun hoping they have answers for you tomorrow xxx

LGR004 · 30/10/2023 22:42

@Mumto2sengirlsxx okay thank you sweet , appreciate it a lot , I’ll update if I get any news ❤️Xx
