Very new to these things, had no idea I could apply!
Filled out a form for my child DD who has Tourette's, ASD, severe anxiety and significant sensory issues. I just completed it myself without knowing I could get help so wonder if I'll be turned down frost time.
Is MR an appeal? I received the form early July, they received it 10 August (which is the scan date?).
My other child is ND but is on a waiting list so no help - could I also get help for him d en though he's not been diagnosed or seen anyone?
Saying that he does see a CAMHS mental health support nurse at school so I may liaise with her about applying for him, he needs support too which all costs as you know

I'm not sure as I've never done this before! I ordered new medication and the Dr told me he'd heard from them. I think they don't have a system, it just depends who gets your forms I'm guessing!

Yeah, probably! I’ve not even heard if they’ve received my forms yet (I know they have as I sent it signed for) but I’ve had no correspondence from them so I’m unsure what my scan date is! X

I have just rang, scan date 13/06/2023, she said no decision has been made yet, but it should be made very soon x
I will post as soon as I hear anything 🤞

Just updating for anyone around this scan date 8/6 phoned up this afternoon and found out been awarded since Monday which would have been 17 weeks and 4 days.

Did they say if it was with a decision maker?

Me It wasn’t too bad but now as it’s getting closer it’s all I think about, I’m not even sleeping well, this would help my boy so much. It’s the most nerve wrecking thing ever waiting for someone to decide.

Honestly it’s taking over my whole life especially knowing it’s with a decision maker and taking so long making it worse 😟 I feel borderline crazy 😂

she didn’t say, I just assumed it was when she said a decision had not been made, I wish I had asked her now 😩

Really hope I get good news I'll be 17 weeks on Friday so hoping to hear something by middle of next week

Hi everyone! My son was aawarded MRC back in January and he turned 5 on Monday. I received the mobility form in June and sent it off on 23/06 but have not heard anything since. Shall I give them a call do you think or just wait?

Thank you. They said it takes 3 days from award been made for backpay so my decision was made Monday and I was told that I will receive backpay tomorrow x

@MummyBrx I was wondering if you'd heard anything yet..
I recieved my boys backpay exactly 3 days from the dated letter I received ( which came after the money)

Just parking here. We have a very long wait yet as our scan date was only 9/9

No nothing yet, should know by the end of next week hopefully.

Hi all, not posted before but been following.
Just had a text to say my daughter qualifies! Scan date 13/6 so 17 weeks 1 day. Not sure what rate yet.
My DD is 13. Waiting for autism assessment. Needs some help with personal hygiene and has severe sensory issues and anxiety. Apart from the form, all I sent was a diary of her typical week. I was so sure she wouldn’t get it! Such a relief.
