thanks! how easy is it to get to the back row of seats? do you have to put the second ones down before you can reach the back ones? been looking at the voyager as it has captains seats second row which i can walk between to reach back row.

shoshe · 16/01/2008 13:48

you just pull the seats forward, LOADS of room, I cant get in and stand up (OK I'm a short arse)

Tou can postion the two back sets of seats at whatever point in the back you want.

ie. I have the back ones on setting two so that I can get my double, single, seat to go and asorted other rubbish in the boot., then have the back seats with the bucket seats in it, then the middle row with the booster seats.

Room under the back seats for boxes, which have the wet weather gear and wellies in them.

Room under the middle seats for the spare booster seat.

and its automatic, and and and and when we drove to Scotland in it, just DH and I we took all the seats out and turned the back seats into a bed and shared the driving, ifyou wernt driving you lay in the back and either slept or watched aDVD

maximummummy · 16/01/2008 14:54

i know it's really rubbish! one mindee just started full time school and i have my own ds under five so i can only have 2 under 5's- i need to find another mindee to make it worthwhile really

southernbelle77 · 16/01/2008 15:03

yey!!! Went well and she is starting on Monday! Ok, so it's not a great deal of time (only 8 hours a week) and only an ad hoc contract but at least it's something! And if it goes well then hopefully it will lead to more (at the moment its only ad hoc as mum is pregnant with twins and needs the rest) but she did say that it could be more long term potentially!
Now just need to get a reply to the email query I replied to the other day for a 5 month old and things will really be starting to look up!

Sorry not replied to anyone elses messages yet - not had time to read it all yet as the 2 mindees have just woken up!

crace · 16/01/2008 15:15

LT - fab fab fab news, gets you closer to baby being due anyway eh?!

SB - congrats, money is money

Just returned from toddler group, fun fun - baby mindee in bed and my 2yo parked in front of telly in a vain hope that today she might sleep. It's not happening Oh well.

eleanorsmum · 16/01/2008 15:44

Be careful with a Mazda Bongo that you don't go under any low bridges - a childminder I know had one and ripped the top off going into a car park

Thats great news Looney

I'm trying to sort the contract out for the Ad hoc work - wish I had some the temporary contracts from NCMA but as I've not will have to do with the other ones and customise it!

I mindee gone and other goes in an hour! DD tired after preschool so is just sat quietly watching telly thank goodness!!

And thank goodness for Dora Lego - its kept mindees well and truely occupied today

And not long til DH home now We're over half way through so on the countdown to him back now! Then back to baby-making

shoshe · 16/01/2008 16:59

SB .................. DONT ............. SAY .............THAT...............DH almost di dthe same thing! and considering he can drive a bike, a car, a minibus, a bus and a truck you would think he would have realised!

Cool! Thanks!

BoysAreLikeDogs · 16/01/2008 17:47

I might add that I am in a potato ricer quandary.

Which one do you use Mo and Shosha? I just cannot decide whether the lakeland one is THE one for me.

Help !!!

MaureenMLove · 16/01/2008 18:01

Ooo, didn't know you could get one anywhere else! Well, my first attempt with the Lakeland one, wasn't as good as I'd hoped. Might have been because I was too excited to be ricing them though and they weren't quite cooked! I've got three metal disks to chose from and I used the one with big holes in, I think I'll try little holes next time.

looneytune · 16/01/2008 18:02

Thanks for the congrats guys. You won't believe this for luck.......

  1. Last nights meeting went really well and mum certainly seemed to want to go ahead but I was casual and told her to make sure then call by end of week.

  2. DH gets this contract today

  3. I walked in from school to a phone call immediately, on phone for ages and long chat with this parent who decided PURELY from my phone convo that she wanted to book me, all my available adhoc spaces until my maternity leave (shorter hours but perfect as only taking ds's space now he's at school) and then permanent full days from Sept for all the days I can offer She asked if I wanted a deposit and I said it's fine to wait until next week when she meets me and i'll just call if I need a deposit if someone else interested. I only put the ad up this week! She said she's pulling her out of local nursery sessions (long story) and wants her to come here instead, even though it would have been free at nursery She sounded lovely, we are very like minded and I've totally changed her whole opinion on what childminders do!!!

Just need my scan to go well in couple of weeks and EVERYTHING is rosey
