Morning! AIBU to tell mindee (8) that he can't print a load of pictures off the computer with my paper and my ink, for his mate, when he has a perfectly good computer at home?

LoveMyGirls · 16/01/2008 08:12

Morning!

I dont think YABU Mo.

southernbelle77 · 16/01/2008 08:18

Morning! Well I'm glad I popped in - Choc muffins and peace and quiet sounds lovely. Can I have some too please Shoshe?!
I'm desperately trying to whiz round the house at the moment getting it ship shape and crystal clear! Have dd and mindee 1 & 2 here this morning plus my friend and her 2 dc's are coming over too! Then this afternoon taking dd to preschool and then have someone coming round about some temporary work so want the house to look good (although after having 5 kiddies here this morning not sure that's going to happen!)

MaureenMLove · 16/01/2008 08:19

Thankyou, good. Every night he prints off up to 10 pictures to colour. Thats possibly about 40 a week and now he wants to start doing it for his bloody mates. He was really put out when I said, 'I don't think so!' Just had a txt message from his mum too saying, 'make sure he cleans his teeth and make sure he has his medicine.' Nothing else! Tricky customers these two are!

eleanorsmum · 16/01/2008 08:31

Hello Pinkranger

Just 1 mindee today then after-schoolie too.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 16/01/2008 09:40

MaureenMLove · 16/01/2008 10:07

I can barely type my arms and hands are shaking so much!

I hired a RugDoctor this morning and I've just finished doing the stairs. I'm knackered! It works really well though. If anyones interested, I hired it for £19.95, plus however much detergent you need. £26.00 I think it worked out at. Not bad I thought. GOT to get that living room carpet clean, its minging!

I'm taking 5, to recover before I get going on it.

DMO, I accepted you as a friend on Facebook, don't know what to do with the site though!

crace · 16/01/2008 10:19

Forget the muffins, pass the booze. Just spent a rough 30 minutes making brownies with dd, 2 and mindee 20 months and baby 10 months. I swear I have more white hair. Bickering over taking turns stirring, this one wants to do this, that one wants to that... argh!! Usually play so nicely but today's an off day I think. Baby now napping, and girls are colouring and I am "resting" Yeesh - you'd think they'd be HAPPY making brownies.

Anyway:

Mo, definitely no be unreasonable. Draw the line!

EM - I can't actually think of anywhere else to buy a car other than local papers and trawling the sites you have aleady mentioned.

dmo - bummer about the £20, I wouldn't be able to put it to the parents either. Argh.

Right, quick rest done and now a coffee and then organising next project. Thank goodness for an afternoon toddler group session today. I will need it.

crace · 16/01/2008 10:21

Oh, and hello to Shoshe, Pinkranger, LMG, southernbelle, and Boys. How rude of me

shoshe · 16/01/2008 10:25

Mo did you know you can put the hire and stuff on your tax

MaureenMLove · 16/01/2008 11:01

I know, but I can't be arsed to write it down tbh! Minimum paper work possible here, less to wrap up at the end!

I've finished. Doesn't take long really. Obviously, I only signed it out of B&Q's at 9.30! My knees are wet, as are the soles of my socks! Mindees will have to stay out of that room tonight, I think. I'm going to wax the fireplace now. Oh somuchto do and so little time! Laters girls!

maximummummy · 16/01/2008 11:48

oh my god DMO i'd definately ask the parents for some money (easy for me to say!)

shoshe · 16/01/2008 11:51

Why maxi? I just put it down as a exxpense and pay less tax

OP posts:
eleanorsmum · 16/01/2008 12:06

shose - has the mazda been ok for servicing? someone said to me imports might be harder to get parts for? or this this twaddle!

shoshe · 16/01/2008 12:15

EM I paid £300.00 (which was included in the purchase price) for a 3 year AA warranty on all parts.

I am having my windscreen replaced tomorrow, (got a crack in it) and autoglas phoned me after I had rung my Insurance company and told me it would be expensive (over £270.00) as it was import.

Quoted my AA reference, thay came back to me with a price of £50.00 excess

Oh and EB it drives like a tank, is ugly, its a p reg, but I wouldn't swap it for the world, fantastic car.

3 maxi cosis go across the back seats!

looneytune · 16/01/2008 12:25

Morning all, or should I say afternoon! Had a bit of a rush for school this morning but only ds so popped to mate's house after and got home about half hour ago to be told..............DH GOT THE JOB!!!! He starts Monday!!! They are also paying a bonus at the end as an incentive to stay for the whole contract

It's actually a nice day today, cold but dry and sunny. Going to be 4 days of really bad rain from tomorrow though

Dmo - that sucks Make sure you put it on your tax return!!!

Pinkranger - you definitely answered correctly to the marmite question!!

Mo - You are definitely NBU!!!!!

southernb - good luck with meeting, I had one of those last night and went well so hope it's the same for you

eleanorsmum - mine was just over £2k, it's a VW Sharon and has been perfect for the year I've had it, had to keep on with auto trader though and one day it appeared!

Shoshe, MaxiM, LMGs, Crace, BoysAreLikeDogs - hello

looneytune · 16/01/2008 12:29

ANYONE ABLE TO HELP ME ON THIS THREAD ABOUT CAR SEAT SUITABLE FOR USE WITH A LAP BELT?

MaureenMLove · 16/01/2008 12:29

Wicked news Looney! Yay! Another weight off. DON'T let him spend all his earning though!

looneytune · 16/01/2008 12:30

Cheers Mo and no way, money is MY job to deal with and he's not allowed to spend!!! It's only a 2/3 month contract but the incentive helped him decide to go for it and in the meantime, he'll try and line up a job to start in 3 months time.

shoshe · 16/01/2008 12:31

EM mines like this one although this one is more expensive.
